  1. You can always hop them up a bit too,my 89 moves pretty good.
  2. Stock they aren't a powerhouse but a 4banger should serve your purposes just fine.
  3. I prefer the short but mine is used mostly offroad. I have other trucks for hauling things.
  4. Got the belt somewhat figured out,i may need to do some tweaking for better contact in places but i can run it and see what happens. I pulled the supercharger so i could surface the manifold i made for it,now i can reinstall it for hopefully the final time. Once it's back together i should be able to hook up the oiling system and start the engine,if all goes well i will start building the cooling system for the intercooler.
  5. It was a good find, the guy knew what he had so it was an expensive find but still much better than buying new. The RCVs I'm told have 3 trips on them.
  6. Making progress, making this thing fit has been a bigger project than i thought.
  7. Keep in mind that 91 has the 2.5l MPI which is up about 15 HP and 15lb ft over the 2.5l TBI most of us got. Not a huge difference but they are noticeably more peppy,it can also be hopped up a bit.
  8. My 89 4cyl 4spd 4x4 was $400,i bought it and put it straight into daily driver service. A buddy just bought a super clean running and driving 91 2.5l 5spd 2wd at right around 100k for $1200,he drove it home and ripped the engine out for a 4.0l swap,he sold me the complete 2.5l mpi and wiring for $120. MJs just aren't that expensive out here,my buddy has a 91 4.0l,AW4,2wd with a small lift for sale for $2700 and isn't getting much interest, its got around 200k but he is throwing in everything for a 4x4 swap with it at that price. I don't really watch the S10s and Rangers but I gave $400 for my 94XLT extended cab 4.0l,auto,2wd. It's a decent condition driver with 200k though. I'm sure low mileage examples would bring more, assuming they can somehow back up the claim, mileage isn't reported at DMV after 10 years here.
  9. MJ prices are all over the place and they vary alot by location. Around me that truck would sell for about half what he is asking, even a 91 4.0l truck would be $1000 less than that. But in your area it might be fair.
  10. Got the wideband set up ordered and started some mock up. Looks like my hood is going to be losing some metal.
  11. I've had the truck out wheeling a few times and have put around 1000 miles on it on and offroad, still working out some bugs here and there but it's coming along.
  12. A little speed run down the 803 at Ladee flats, this is usually crawled. https://youtu.be/AFGlTaT5Nbg
  13. And work finally begins.
  14. Did some wheeling Saturday, the truck performed well. I did manage to take out another window and a mirror.
  15. I shot some bed liner over the sound padding to help protect the padding and then put the interior back together,i think it turned out pretty good and made a huge difference inside the cab.
  16. Sent some money your way.
  17. I got the MJ loaded up and moved to the new house in Oregon. This is kind of a back burner project at the moment but hopefully i can tinker on it a bit now that it's home.
  18. I've always wanted one so when i saw it i had to have it,it needs some love but should clean up nice.
  19. That's my 61 Continental, the garage is 20'x36' so the lincoln and the MJ both fit with room to walk around. I wanted a shop but the garage will do until i can get a shop building up.
