Well, I have been neglecting this quite a bit lately. But the 4x4 conversion is all buttoned up and just working out a few bugs. the day It got back on the road: fixed floors while I was at it: and piecing together a 3" lift. Still have a few little parts i'm looking for. Next step is 4.10s with hp D30/29 spline 8.25 along with 3" lift, have 32" tires in the works. Also looking around for another DD, This thing is going to have a hard time passing inspection in a year or two.

pic of ax15 tranny mount?
landlubber replied to Blue88Comanche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it looks like you got one for a wrangler. My mount: -
Any ideas? I failed inspection for a spot that is about 8" on the rail where the inside and the bottom meet. I'm thinking just some angle iron. But I am no expert.
-
technically yes, imo it should only be temporary until you find the right crossmember.
-
the cross members are different. AX15 crossmembers are dropped about an inch in the middle, opposed to pukeys which are just straight. pukey: ax15:

I know someone who has the iro long arms on his xj. He had nothing but good to say about it. He wheels and dds it. If/when i get long arms, i would go for the iro arms.

Image Not Found this looks mighty similar to what y'all are talking about, just happened to see it. "Blue XJ"s rig -
I want the Trim piece that goes under the rear window (preferably in blue) and an mj headliner, or at least the framing from one. let me know. ALSO: I need a xj/mj t-case linkage for a AX15/NP231

I went with the AX5 slave route so I wouldn't have to bother with replacing any lines, but as it turns out the AX5 slave does not fit the AX15 bellhousing. So, with that, I do have an AX15 slave that wants plastic lines. I got those connectors, but they don't thread into the master cylinder and there are no threads on the ax15 slave. So, as I understand it, I need to either get a different master and convert to plastic lines, or have some sort of custom line made up. I have no idea, any suggestions?

yeah, well any cupholders are better than no cupholders. I still haven't decided on the finished product yet, but I'm thinking pvc or something in the holes so it will be sectioned off. probably just screw it to the trans hump seeing how I'm lacking the shifter trim to keep things from sliding around.

I did this mod a few weeks back. I remember seeing the old diy a while ago and was waiting around for a ride, saw some plywood and got to it. Did it all with a table saw, angle grinder, and hole saw. The only thing i was really looking for was something to fit 32oz gatorade bottles, which it does, with a little under 1/2" room left I cut up some clear hose and put it around the openings, so its more like 1/4" now, but it looks nicer and covers up some raw wood. I sprayed it primer i had sitting around.

parts truck does not have one.
-
Just put it on. Have not driven it yet. Seems a little closer than it should be, but idk. Figured i'd ask the masses. don't want to break anything.
-
Probably still on the parts truck.

Too close? This is sitting on flat concrete.

My $400 88 MJ LWB build.......
landlubber replied to BIGHEEP's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
just perusing the forums refreshing my mind with ideas from builds on here. my goodness, I came across this from a thread about SOA and 31's. I have this jeep now, for a little over a year, It has been most useful in giving up parts for my other MJ in the slow and painful 4x4 conversion process. I don't know in what condition you sold it in, or with what kind of equipment, but i got it with a ton of parts in the bed that have been most helpful. i really with it came to me in this state: I bought it off a fella named ryan frost for a very good price. do you know anything that happened with it before you got it? I assume you sold it to ryan, but idk. -
