  1. no cool stories yet, but the knowledge base here is phenomenal. I've learned so much, and you can pop off any random question and its about guaranteed to be answered.
  2. you just right click on the image they gave you, and go to properties and copy the location and put img tags around it and it shows up here. ;)
  3. Got registered today, and is setting over at the shop for inspection. drove it up there without a serpentine belt on :) my first time out on the road driving a standard too.
  4. x2 on starting it. was the first thing that popped into my hear whilst reading this.
  5. I'll take what I can get, provided that everyone thinks its a good idea.
  6. found this just out of the blue on craigslist. making my rounds and just happened to take a shot at this, and it just happened to be a AX-15 (I was fully expecting a BA 10/5) CL link: http://nh.craigslist.org/cto/1399213933.html He is selling it for $200, I'm sure I could talk him down at least a bit. It looks like a 2x4. what are your opinions? go for it? how hard is it to convert a 2wd AX15 to 4x4, and then more money for transfer case. best to just buy them together? this is the only lead I've had searching for a while now. pictures: tell me what you think please.

  8. Also will be needing 74 304 CJ pilot bushing and the longer speedo cable and such.
  9. not to insult your situation, but that .gif is easily the funniest thing I have seen all day. so good.
  10. That sucks. at least you got the bumper anyways. thanks for the heads up.

    WTB: AX-15

looking for an (4x4) AX-15 in decent shape with a NP231 or NP242. preferably close to where I live. let me know whatcha got, or if you have any leads. preferably and External slave, doesn't have to be.
  14. nice collection. are those apple trees?
  15. cleaned up some rust, and got that bondo'd and painted up. I guess thats one advantage to having a paintjob using hunting paint from wal-mart. gotsa just get my temp sensor in and maybe pop the old serpent belt on and its down the road to get inspected.
  16. ok then, provided that the axle is in decent shape, I'll just spend the $100 and get it "as is" the guy didn't get back to me yet via e-mail. kinda late to go look at stuff now though.
  17. so saw this link: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18653 which brought me here: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f126/mov ... rs-864839/ thanks to wahoosteeler, sent the seller an e-mail and he said its in a garage and I can come look at it. he is also going to send me some pictures. if the pictures look good i'm most likely going to get it. (it has 3:55's which is what i am looking for) anyways, the real question is this: He said that the axle does not have any brakes on it, but he is also selling "ZJ backing plates, e-brake hardware and calipers, maybe even hoses. Just pick your favorite pads and rotors." so do I want to get that also? or can i get drums to set up with? $100 bucks sounds like a deal. but if I can't get brakes.. Daddio doesn't like the idea, but I thinks its a good one. please leave feedback.
  18. I am on that site, but not very often.... soon as I get some money I am going to start lurking the sale forums :) And I am on the complete opposite side of the US... Massachusettes :) where exactly?
  19. My Aunt and cousins live out there, i guess the next town over had a lot of flooding, but missed them mostly.

  22. You betcha. It's only the best sport in the world. sweet, I play with some friends occasionally. mad fun to play and really cool to watch also.
  23. I like the foglights. yeah, ditto that, I was thinking of setting up a pair like that. I have 2 pair actually, a hidden pair would be cool if you need extra lightage. 8)
  24. I vote creationism. very good debate question, people could go on forever on this one. I was brought up a christian, still would call myself a "nondenominational christian" I can't wrap my mind around the idea that we all evolved from jellyfish and bajillions of years, just makes no sense to my logic.
