  1. Punching holes in the NOS MJ rocker NOS XJ rocker
  2. Lol I didn't think he'd jump into the net so willingly :) Now we just need to keep this thread going for a while longer so he doesn't suspect anything ;)
  3. JC Whitney XJ rockers; NOS factory XJ rockers;
  4. 97-02ish Wranglers are pretty cheap up here, mostly because of the dreaded frame rot in the back. That's ok though, the frame rot issue seems to bring the prices down on ALL early TJs, even those with good frames, but uninformed owners :D
  5. Ok, The only thing constant in life is change, So here it is, the Old vs New Picture Thread!! Did your MJ on 37's start out as 2wd, on 215/75R15's? Post up an old vs new pic! Did you start off with a 12" wide hand tool box loaded with 'borrowed' tools, Now you have a 72" Matco box? Pics! :) Did your significant other have, er.... um, upper body enhancements? Well PM me those :D I'll start, Old *garage* vs new garage :D Next!!!
  6. Started putting out the service manuals; Jakes Tonka Jeeps;
  7. Being the undisputed King of MJ Bling, I thought for sure you'd have a pic to instill jealousy in all of Comanche-dom :D
  8. Thanks Rob! THAT was what I was thinking of for this thread. :D With all those junkyard finds, I'm just not sure if you are the Pope of Comanches, or the Grim Reaper ;) I don't expect anyone to top Rob (me included!) but let's see the bling :D
  9. If you wanted an even shorter handle, the YJ t-case handle fit perfectly on my old BA10-5 lower. If the AX handles fit the same way, it could work there as well. I liked the short handle, super short throws, even in the BA.
  10. Time to post up some of the Comanche porn you have stashed away. Spare Diesel tucked in the corner? Post it! Where ever those Chrome NOS bumpers ended up from a few years back, got one? Put up a picture! Any weird & old Jeep goodies, let's see them. :D I'll start, Finally pulled the old AMC/Jeep sign out of the attic and hung it in the garage Ok Who'se next? :D
  11. This is pretty much what the JC Whitney rockers I put on the XJ look like. They were so bad I refused to burn them in. 4 years later, they are still just zip-screwed on there. I ordered a pair of factory rockers right after trying the JCs, but haven't got around to installing them yet. Since I think even the factory/NOS XJ rockers are out of production now, I'm not sure if I should use them, or hang onto on them.
  12. You could sell the whole truck to someone, if its in decent condition, you could have your choice of 4.0L MJs to replace it with.
  13. This pic Makes me happy that this was NOT a 92. :D
  14. Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking for.
  15. What is 'face book'?? Is that the My Face thing all the kids are talking about these days? It'll never catch on. :P
  16. Looks nice! Don't worry about the pace, as long as slow doesn't turn into stop, you are fine. What's the tread width (tire center to tire center) with those axles/wheels? If you can, I'd love to see a side shot to see how far out the tires stick. Keep the pictures coming :D
  17. You know I'm debating flipping that picture right now to cover my mistake :D NOS = new old stock Idiots like me who didn't bother buying this stuff when you could walk in any dealership in the country and order it brand new, now chase down every scrap they can get their hands on, before even the scraps are gone. :(
  18. Thats OK, I blame the guy who steals 1/3 of the unoccupied parking spot behind him, leaving just 2/3's of a parking spot for me. If it's an open parking spot, I'm taking it.
  19. I lost an eye 4 years ago, so I have 0% spacial ability/depth perception. ;)
  20. LOL 1st pic, guy behind me was last car in the row, he literally had a mile to back up. Truck in front had a couple of feet. Both were still there when I left. That took 2 shots (backed in, then up, then back again) Neither bumper got tapped (I could see exactly how much room there was in the reflection of the building window) #2 was more dicey, lol. Fed Ex truck had half his spot + the empty loading zone in front of him to pull out Car behind had 3 feet or so. The two cars behind me both left at the same time, so I think they were together. I was still sitting in the Jeep when they left (having lunch), and no, he didn't try to drag me out the window for parking so close ;) There was no window reflection that time, so it's possible a "no-damage-nudge" or two occured in the 5 or 6 times I had to go back and forth. :D
  21. I'll buy a can of semi gloss black rustoleum for whoever posts the build thread first ;)
  22. Silly thread idea, but I daily drive my MJ. & I end up squeezing into some pretty tight parking spots. This one was last month, , I was so happy I squeaked into a free spot in Boston, I snapped a picture: and I guess that was the record holder till last week: Lol. No, I'm not on the hood of the car behind me, but Yea, it is really really close ;)
  23. OK, So I checked the NOS MJ Shrine. and I do have an MJ Rocker. Posting this picture is probably a mistake ;) but....... There it is in the lower left.......(oops lower right) Everyone hates me now, right? :D kidding aside, I really hate the thought of shipping it across the country. Where is C2C located anyway? I'll take some high quality pics of it when I get a chance (I'm not home now)
  24. There is conflicting info on whether ALL XJs got the HP44s or just certain years/certain packages, but it was Venezuelan XJs that got them. I guess a good place to start would be a junkyard in Venezuela. :)
  25. XJs were built in South America with HP D44 fronts. Correct width, with uca mount on the pumpkin & same unit bearing hubs as the typical XJ HP30. A few years ago Currie bought up the existing left over stock of them to build & sell. I know its on the other side of the planet, but at least South America is on the right side of the equator for you, might be worth looking in to.
