Sounds like something i would be interested in, but I only have one weekend off a month so if it just happens to fall on that weekend, I would seriously consider it.

I was able to get it out w/o too much trouble on my 2wd but then again there is not a diff in the way. Put jackstands under the "frame" and let the suspension droop out. I think I dropped my drag link if I remember correctly for more room to move. The first battle was actually getting the pan off the engine. 8 foot 2x4 came in handy..

To throw another log on the fire, I do believe each state has it own rules and regulations. I know the diesel locally that I buy is 5-10% bio fuel...

:cheers: for a DD yes. I had one in my 00 XJ. It never left full-time from November to April.

Not speaking from experience here, but sometimes the 2.8 lives forever, and sometimes explodes randomly. If you aren't afraid of swapping in a 3.4 if it does explode, than I would pick one up. IMO you're starting way ahead if you find a 4.0, but I would take the 2.5 any day over the 2.8. totally agree..ive had a XJ with a v6 and it ran good for a yard vehicle and wide open assualts on the driveway for a whole summer with no exhaust..
