I may have one...I'll let you know after the holidays.

The only "As seen on TV" item that has provided me with years of dedicated service is this: http://www.amazon.com/A-de-MB-Bacon%C2%AE-Microwave/dp/B0002HSFB2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1355919895&sr=8-1&keywords=makin+bacon

They already backed down and changed the wording.

Do they tone down the safety inspection on older vehicles? I looked at the list of items that MD can fail you on and off the top of my head I know my '92MJ would fail for loose/sloppy steering and no headliner (although the headliner issue should be fixed this week and I know I can do a bandaid fix on the steering).
-
Had to edit this because my original information was outdated (was thinking Windows XP 32-bit versus 64-bit). If you're running Windows 7 or later (regardless of 32 or 64-bit architecture, you can upgrade to 4Gb on your netbook, however, you will likely need to replace the 2Gb module with a 4Gb module (unless your netbook has two RAM slots, but most of the time, they only come with one).

Huh, I never saw this post.... BUT, I am located in Queenstown, MD on the Eastern Shore. And yes, the "historic tags" come with restrictions on when, where, and how much you can drive per year. I don't intend to follow the restrictions like the rest of the folks around here that tag their vehicles as historic. I wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting my 1992 MJ through an MD inspection.

Thanks. I love dogs and especially love the husky breed. They just have so much personality and they're a trip to be around. Owner said he thinks the dog got out of his harness Saturday night. He was looking for him all day yesterday with his son. I stumbled upon him around 5PM yesterday and he was completely covered in cow or horse poop (guess he found some dung and decided to roll around). He decided to follow me home and wanted to come inside so I had to give him a bath because he stank real bad. Brushed him, put some ointment on his ear where it looks like he has the beginnings of mange and fed him. He was a fat pup and knew how to come, sit, paw and lay down so I knew he had an owner. Judging by where the owner lives, this pup would have had to cross a four-lane, 55MPH highway that is traveled mostly by big rigs. Good thing he wasn't hit. Owner was very grateful and said it made his holiday to have his pup back. Just glad I could help out. I know the husky breed well and knew if I didn't take him in he would have continued to wander and roam around, possibly back into the highway.

This is terrible. Wish I could help out. Just had a husky follow me home last night and called animal control this morning. Owner called about 5 minutes later and the pup is back where he belongs.

The exhaust ports on the 00-01 header are so much smaller than the non-0331 exhaust ports that it won't completely cover them up.

I bought mine from the previously mentioned seller.

I did this exact swap on my '01XJ after spinning a rod bearing on the original engine. The swap is extremely easy IF you have an adapter plate to go from the larger intake/exhaust ports on the '98 engine to the smaller ports on the '01 two-piece cast manifold. Adapter plate can be seen here: Pull the dizzy out of the hole and drop the camshaft position sensor...just make sure it's set correctly and isn't 180 degrees out like I did the first time around  Some of the '98 sensors may have different connector plugs, so you'll need to steal the sensors from the '01 engine.

I figured...I shoulda put a smiley in there to show that I got a chuckle out of your reply when I read it this morning. The paint may be crap (or it may be great, too hard to tell), but it looks like it may have saved this truck from getting rust in the usual spots on the bed.
-
I kinda dig the paintjob. I was more interested in it because it looks to be in really nice shape rust-wise.

I'm not sure how far you're willing to drive, but I came across this one doing some Craiglsist searching and...damn.... http://fayetteville.craigslist.org/ctd/3458830384.html

Depending on what you have in your Facebook profile, it'll use that information to find others you may know. Most of the time my recommended friends are people that went to the same high school as me, are around the same age, and we have some mutual friends - probably because I listed my high school in my profile at one point... Facebook is also partnered with Datalogix - a site that basically keeps track of your entire life. This is likely why you see ads on Facebook that are for things you were recently browsing on Google or Amazon. If you want to opt out of that, look here: http://lifehacker.com/5843969/facebook-is-tracking-your-every-move-on-the-web-here's-how-to-stop-it

I really just wanted to get the store because 1) I thought it was a free (or close to it) add-in to the IP.Boards forum software. This software is all about preaching open source and low cost... 2) I have a few nick knacks I wanted to toss on there. These are things that can be produced in quantity or on-demand so no one-off's, custom parts, etc. I just threw the idea of having our apparel on there because the legwork has already been done on the design and purchase so I figured it would be a good way to kick off the store. I agree that we don't have a big enough memberbase to pursue a full-fledged store. We also don't have enough member's with deep pockets...we all drive 20+ year old pickups, afterall

Secret? I would assume so since I'm the only one that knows about it. Well, my dog has an idea of what's going on. Stash? Not really, I don't have the space to stash anymore. Club made MJ parts? Only if that means made FOR the Club and not BY the Club. Although, after doing a bit of research on the investment of IP.Nexus plus their bi-yearly fees to obtain their tech support and upgrades, it would be cheaper for me to set up a store off the forums. Oh well...thought it'd be cleaner/simpler to have it all integrated into one place.

For apparel but I had bigger plans than t-shirts and hats...

I have the basic Kindle w/Wifi and advertisements. The ads don't bother me...they only come on as part of the screensaver. Needed to get a lighted case to be able to read at night but you can't beat the battery life on this thing - that was my main reason for getting it. I don't think I have charged it in over three weeks and I use it fairly regularly. You'll be more than happy with the Kindle Paperwhite as it will be excellent for nighttime reading.

Help My Find Out Year Of Mj
terrawombat replied to Tylerzap's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
From my research through daily (sometimes hourly) searches of Craigslist, ebay, and other classified sites, '92MJs will generally be 2WD. Or, all the 1992 4WD MJ owners are just holding onto their prize for dear life... -
Manual transmission options for the Chrysler 318/360 V8's are best found in the Dodge Ram & Dakota pickup trucks. There are plenty of Chevy V8 swaps in Jeeps, but there are surprisingly few Chrysler V8 swaps.
-
Only in 93 behind the 4.0 liter six cylinder and those are RARE.
-
The 318 won't bolt to any of the transmissions used in the MJ. The 318 swap into the MJ is a pretty massive undertaking. I'm doing a 360 swap into one of my MJs (same block, just bigger bore and longer stroke).
