  1. And her age, height and weight has become public information anyway: http://www.lflus.com/baltimorecharm/player?id=2 Although the age is incorrect. She's actually 23.83 years old. I just rounded up.
  2. Perhaps I lied.
  3. Zeke (Siberian Husky, 4.5 years old): Diamond (German Shepherd, 5 years old) and Alli (Girl, 24 years old):
  4. I'll PM in a bit. Since our company refuses to buy the latest version of AutoCAD (because it cost a bazillion dollars) our electrical engineer uses a free program called Draftsight: http://www.3ds.com/products-services/draftsight/overview/ I use it to open .dwg files from customers and it has the look/feel of AutoCAD - even had the command prompt. Draftsight seems to be more than enough to get me by when doing basic 2D edits to .dwg files.
  5. Despite all of the crap on this MJ, it looks to be in good shape with a recent paintjob. Also has a hitch: http://reading.craigslist.org/cto/4028773351.html
  6. Hey Don - my company bought Autosketch 10 a while back when one of our clients kept sending us drawings in .skd and claimed he couldn't send them any other way (even though the program lets you save as .dwg). Still got a computer around here running XP with the Autosketch software on it. If you want I can convert those files to .dwg for you. Let me know.
  7. Somehow the RFE line of transmissions were able to skirt under the blanket of awfulness that is Chryco transmissions. They must have either outsourced that design or had their senior engineering team work on it rather than the interns who came up with the RE lineup.
  8. The Torque Flight 8 is based on a transmission designed and built by a German company called ZF Friedrichshafen. Mercedes hasn't used their transmissions for quite some time (like 30+ years), but a lot of other European automakers use them - typically higher end manufacturers like Audi, BMW, Porsche, Jaguar, Maserati, Rolls Royce and Range Rover. This is a great move for Chrysler since their modern, home-built transmissions are absolute garbage and are extremely unreliable.
  9. Then maybe you can have them blur our your house, trees and automobiles: http://www.google.com/maps/about/behind-the-scenes/streetview/privacy/
  10. I guess they had a difficult time getting houses, trees, and automobiles to sign the consent forms...
  11. Despite a major lawsuit by the patent-holders, Formlabs is going through with producing and shipping their new stereolithograpy desktop printer - the Form 1: http://formlabs.com/products/our-printer Stereolithography is an enormous step ahead of FDM in terms of precision. The level of detail you can get with it is pretty ridiculous.
  12. Forgot to mention. There is a patent expiring February of next year on selective laser sintering (SLS) technology, which is currently the lowest-cost form of 3D printing for mass production. You are able to go straight from the printer to the market because the parts made with the SLS process look like a finished product. The current form of cheap 3D printing - fused deposition modeling (FDM) - doesn't really produce a part that has that "finished product" look or feel. There is also another technology out there - stereolithography, but I don't know much about it to comment.
  13. My University had two 3D printers that I got to tinker around with a couple times. Very neat machine, but it took forever to pump out a single part. The price of 3D printers has dropped significantly over the years - you can get some smaller units for less than $2K. I would not be one bit surprised if 3D printers became a common household item in 10 years time.
  14. They are obligated to blur out all pictures of people's faces since no one actually consented to having their picture taken.
  15. What is it that you don't get?
  16. Most diesel engines will not create any measurable vacuum like a gasser. There are a couple of diesel engines out there that will create vacuum with a throttle plate, but they're mostly used on forklifts.
  17. It shouldn't need to hang down that low. Wish I had a picture of the ZJ rad mocked up in my MJ, but I remember there being a 4-6" overhang past the front header panel.
  18. Settle down with the Craigslist policing.
  19. He didn't install that - the previous owner did. It's just a ZJ radiator stuffed in there, but it doesn't look like it was done correctly. I have a 5.9L stuffed into one of my MJs and I mocked the radiator up in such a way that only about 4-6" of it sticks out from the bottom of the front grille. Also that Novak radiator, although very nice, is more like $720 after shipping.
  20. When Chryco went all electronic with their transmissions is when the quality went down the tubes.
  21. Should be roughly the same size as a gasser 350, which has been a pretty common swap in the MJ/XJ.
  22. Great place to get decent parts at good prices. Their television commercials, though....yikes....
  23. "Wheeled" in my backyard this past weekend: Image Not Found
  24. I guess we could always just bury our heads in the sand and pretend like all Jeep's are worth owning... Or we could actually point out the glaringly obvious flaws that our beloved manufacturer has made so we don't end up like every other fanboi car/truck club.
  25. Gotta agree with you there. Chryco engines and transmissions are some of the worst on the market in terms of reliability (with the exception of the Magnum series), which is why I'm approaching the new Pentastar with a lot of caution. As you said the 4.0L I6 used in our beloved MJs was carried over from AMC after the merger. All Chryco did was implement some casting changes to the mold to reduce noise, vibration and harshness. The reliable transmissions in the MJ/XJ/YJ/TJ are either from Aisin-Warner or Mercedes. Chryco transmissions simply do not last and their entire RE series transmissions are a joke. I'm not too sure on how the newer transmissions are (the 6 and 8 speeds), but I will remain skeptical based on the historical track record. Until I start seeing the majority of owners talk about pushing their Chryco powerplants to 200K+ with only regular maintenance, their stuff is garbage in my eyes.
