  1. you can make your own... http://fitchva.com/jeep/?p=57
  2. No, there is not sensor in the front end. I think everything is under the dash. I think it uses a sensor that detects a sudden change in speed. Willy the factory location started out under the driver's seat. then it was moved in newer models (as well as a dealer fix) to inside back of the center console
  3. sounds like my setup. i have a Garmin eTrex Legend Cs (the one with the color screen and micro sdhc memory slot). when i first got it, i used only it for navigation: then i got a little ghetto. i wanted a little different setup. i had also installed a head unit that has bot a USB input as well as AUX input that i was piping my MP3's through. So I decided to just play the MP3's on my laptop and display the GPS data on the same 15" laptop. (this first aftermarket headunit had an aweful menu / mp3 navigation system so i preferred the multimedia keys on my laptop for that) this was my first economical setup (cardboard wrapped in packaging tape for water proofing ;) :rotf: ) i then tried a less ghetto home-brew swivel mount for my laptop. but the laptop was just too big and blocked my view of the pass-side mirror so i never really used it. and here's what i'm using today: i made a new adjustable swivel mount and got a 9" netbook. and the passenger can use it w/out compromising much on space the wood top has since been replaced by one of those poly cutting boards. it's much thinner while still being just as strong (and looks better IMO) ;) oh, and that black stuff on the wood is some of that kitchen drawer non-skid stuff
  4. my MJ got the nickname "the fugly duckling" because...well...it's fugly! ;) but i can see some hidden potential/beauty that can be pulled out of it once i get my other projects finished up and can work on the MJ. hopefully sooner rather than later
  5. Same seller has several listings, this one says for lifts of 0-3". http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... &viewitem= thanks for the heads up though they all say the same thing. here's what i was talking about (highlighted in yellow)
  6. if you read below the pictures where it says application list, it states it's for 4 - 6.5" of lift on xj's.
  7. nah, all you need to know is how to do a little photo-manipulation ;) before: and with a little speed treatment i could have made it better, but i only spent a few minutes on it.
  8. i've been spoiled at work. dual 26"ers rock!
  9. i took this the other day as i was leaving work early. i wanted to choke somebody
  10. what's wrong with me!!?!?? the first thing i noticed in this picture is not the ladies...but rather the fact that the one on the left needs to take her finger off of the trigger :dunce:
  11. been there, done that. i feel your pain :fs1:
  12. are tj moabs rare? no are tj moabs cheap? nope. you just need to keep your eye out on all of the jeep forums to find a rubi owner upgrading wheels and selling his stockers. i've seen them go from anywhere between $200 and $400
  13. i've never seen a 15" moab. i'm not saying they don't exist, but i've just never seen nor heard of 'em. i have seen and do own a set of 16" moabs off of a tj. they fit our xj/mj's bolt pattern. and the 16" rim size is pretty easy to find tires for.
  14. it really depends on the person like was said before. my uric acid levels were teeter-tottering on hi for a normal person, but low for a gout sufferer. so when i had that 1 roast beef sammich, it put me over the edge so to speak. my uric acid levels are "normal" now with the daily pill so i could probably get away with a little here and there. but to me, it's not worth the risk. red meet and beer aren't worth that pain. EVER
  15. sorry to hear. i, too, am one of the unfortunate ones that has felt the wrath of gout. after my first attack (lasted a full 8 days), the doctor tested me to confirm it was gout. but at the time, i was so against pills that i tried to do without them. well i lasted about 4 months without red meat until i had 1 friggin Arby's roast beef sammich which lead to my 2nd attack that was worse and lasted about 14 days. after that, they gave me allipurinol (300 mg's) to take very day as well as indomethican (spelling?) to take when i thought i was getting a flare-up. oh, and some "make steve feel happy pills too :) i never was a beer drinker so that wasn't a problem. and after the 2nd attack, i cut out all red meat for good. it was much easier than i thought. pain so bad that you want to stick your foot in a blender is a very good motivator. after the first year, i was retested and reduced to a 100 mg allipurinol pill/day. that was 3 or 4 years ago. knock on wood, no attacks since that 2nd gawd awful flare up. i'm currently trying to add good-for-gout foods because i really would like to get off of any daily pill.
  16. just did a really quick chop
  17. what about this?
  18. thank ya both  the non-white one is actually green. the picture's color is just off.

  21. lol, yup. that's me. i'm still pretty embarrassed about the relay box. that was my first big wiring project. i kinda stuffed everything together and when i got it working, just left it. it's a rat's next in that relay box. i've started on rebuilding it, but stopped to move (that was over a year ago) but haven't gotten back around to finishing it. my wiring, well, it's come a long way. my first project: my last wiring project: that's not the relay box, it's for my switch box: but you can tell my neatness has improved  and on a side note, there's a funny (well at least funny to me) story about the "fitchbox". i can't remember who posted it in NAXJA, but when i saw a thread's title with that in it, i figured, great, the Fitch fuel catalyst people came up with something new. so i didn't even read the thread until it hit 2 pages long  that's when i found out someone was posting pics of theirs
  22. Cool, straight shot down 81 from me then, <90 mins. ...yeah...but who do you root for? ;)
  23. i'm more than willing to help with any questions with aftermarket wiring. i've yet to need to tackle any OEM wiring repair though.
