  3. with the square keys thing, why not bust out the angle grinder and clamp them somewhere and file them down? at least to distinguish
  4. the uh print screen button above the arrow keys saves a screen shot of what you're lookin at... does that help?
  5. ok, you gotta couple important things to consider here: first off, you gotta find out the smog/emissions laws in your state regarding your jeep and diesel. in Georgia, metro counties are required to pass certain emission standards, but diesels are exempt. in the case of an engine swap, the BODY of the vehicle is what the emission folks go by. so in your case (if you were in GA) your MJ would still be required to pass. on the other hand, if you take a volvo turbo diesel and swap in a small block chevy, it is not required to pass because the body is registered as diesel. so you really need to figure out how you will get around the smog situation. the liberty transfer cases should be the NP242 and the NP231, which are labeled selec-trac and command-trac. both are very similar to the units used in XJs. the 242 is not inferior to the np231, but it does have less aftermarket support. the np242 is an awesome transfer case, my brother runs one in his XJ. let us know what you find out. -Nick
  6. i figure any old truck should have one i could snatch at a u-pull, you got a picture of yours by any chance? edit: what do you mean mine "did"? are you mancheless?
  7. good eye mate. had to check my ol' reference materials and scratch my head a bit. one thing i hate bout being a teenager, my garage looks like this, BUT MY STUFF's NOT ALLOWED IN THERE! darn motorcylces.
  8. always happy to hear from satisfied customers... now, about that unpaid feeee...... :nanner:
  9. does your sliding rear window lock? mine just slides shut... anyone could walk right up and slide it from the outside...this can't be right? -nick
  10. don't think theres much of a market for selling a 35 to offset those costs. maybe someone will pick it up... of course thats if you pay them gas money ;)
  11. ive seen a 90's corner flash with turn signals. but a 95 that doesnt. and my 89 doesnt. hmm. fishy stuff.
  12. oooh la la soo sexy little skimpy doors. okay so some weird $#!t comes out of my mouth this late. really do like the doors though stump. -nick
  13. thats my brother's '90 lol. couple people actually asked how much it cost!! while I'm sitting here looking at the overspray from the green on the beige like  morons! its rattleblack now.
  14. awww come on, hand sand it and rattlecan it! cheap and effective! for added effect... DO CAMO! [/img]
  15. does he have a quarter elliptical setup or somethin? why do his tires look like the wheelbase is stretched to the edges of the body? THAT THING IS HUGE!
  16. i like "when shifted into 4x4 it will take off like a rocket" hmm 231 driven on pavement alot ya think? glad mine never had carpet when i bought it
  17. to find a non disco D30? any XJ/MJ with a 242, or a 91-95 XJ with 231 should have non disco D30 (not sure about 96-01 XJ front axles)
  18. yea i just put what i know man, i don't know much bout the 86 trannys. add your knowledge!
  19. 229 for the face-lift parts and thats IT... i have a feeling my EmJae's front is gonne be 97 like the engine soon. :D
  20. everyone else must know something bout your MJ that i don't, but seems to me like on 35's id be worrying more about that D35 in the rear? unless you're blessed with a 44 stock. :dunno:
  21. 1985? i bet it IS hard to get a title for it... ;)
  22. i was thinking about that too, i bet it is the longer wheelbase like someone mentioned. id imagine we could get them to have a sort of jeeps only open class, but then we'd be subject to XJs and ZJs and such, but we all know who'd win ;)
  23. the vacuum booster and bedweightsensordoohickey wouldnt cause brake failure completely, the booster only helps, you can test to see if it is good (when the brakes work) by pressing the pedal then turning on the truck, you'll feel it come on. my bedweight thing is sorta dangling right now and my brakes are fine so i don't think that causes complete failure (but i prolly should fix that huh?) sounds like a bad master cylinder. -nick
  24. stock YJ front axle and leafs will give i THINK up to 5 inches on a MJ/XJ or so i read. they run D30s too. or you could just cut to the chase and get a full width grand wagoneer axle. have fun
