  2. OUCH, they mustve been a REally inferior product... forgot you live in Canada, the drive up would cost me more than 300 i beleive.
  3. how difficult is it to properly rebuild an AX15 transmission? ive got a line on one that grinds a little into 4th gear (don't know how bad or if its all the time or not) all i know is the pukegoat now whines insanely in 5th (no longer drive in 5th) and makes a hell of alot of "whirring" noise in 1-2 (especially when i hit the clutch and it slows down) but i beleive itll run long enough for me to find a new tranny and such. (knock on wood) so back to the question, how hard is it to rebuild an AX15?

  5. our parents cut us off at the get-go... no parts in the garage, no parts under the deck, no parts in your closet stuffed away, nothing... had to rent out a STORAGE UNIT :eek: when theres plenty of space lying around... gotta make it there before 8pm to boot. they do however, allow us to make whatever kind of racket we want before 10 and be real quiet afterwards. :mad: so what all out of that parts pile have you gotten installed since this was last posted on?

  7. you'll know its bad when you get weird residue on the right bottom corner of the windshielf and can never figure it out... DOH! i wish i could become friends with someone lol, 17 yrs old is a lil young to hang out with the stealership guys.

  9. yeah, i paid the stealership their 57. but i didnt need the cap, ive been through 3, luckily i only bought one. other two came with the truck.
  10. i have a ticking noise in mine too, can you describe your noise a little more?
  11. ive got curved buckets swapped in and i definately need to figure somethin out cause i sit waaaay higher than i do when I'm in ma's XJ (same seats)... i like the lower position better, and no tilt wheel makes seeing the gauges challenging.

  14. changin the waterpump on my 89, got the pump out, and i can't get this MEFFING TUBE OFF, there is no nut to grab it by, and my vise grips as tight as i can get them do nothing but dig into and move the metal on the tube. HOW IN THE WORLD DO I GET IT OUT? and, how can you tell if the old one is bad or not? it seems fine to me, but its gotta be bad... how do you tell once its out? PLEASE HELP ASAP. gracias, nick
  15. thats a good idea about the rocklights man, and i like the MJ too (forgot to put that in the first post) i think advance auto sells cheapy foglights for like 20 bucks a set, you could easily throw some of those under the ol truck for some lights dirtycomanche

  19. my 89 MJ used to run at 250 everyday back when i beleived the PO about the sensor being off, its not. ive had to run it at 260 on the hwy before for hour and a half, my MJ runs great. it loves the heat lol. (knock on wood) changing waterpump tomarrow.
  20. ive been within touchin distance of JB's MJ and its pretty sweet, IFS front suspension and no backhalf EVERYthing stripped, and thanks to him ive now got a STOCK SB drop-in liner!!

    still got IFS... ugh. what happened to the REAL jeeps, i know theyve got it in them. other than that though, nice jeep, itd be a cool comeback.
  23. just lie and tell them you have a 4.0 and need the sending unit, i do it all the time cause my motor is a swapped in 97. (most of the time its alright though cause it was a 4.0 previously as well.) twice now my (full cluster factory gauges) have gone completely dead for like a day at a time then randomly come back on. and my radio shuts on and off whenever it wants. could these be related? anyone know what i should check for my gauges shuttin off?
  24. looks to me like you'd have to graft them not only up and down, but also to get the amount of wheelbase, that yota looks mighty shortened. origionality is the whole fun of an MJ!
