  2. I'll take mine with a Cummins. wise choice. wise choice. did you know thats an i6 engine? (or so i gathered from an article about it)
  3. yeah, i just took 5-90s advice and pulled the dustboot up to access the three bolts that are juuuust not 10mm metrics... dk what the heck they are but a 6pt 10mm got them out without trouble so thats good.
  4. my brother runs 20w50 in his 240k 4.0 with decent pressure. (and the poor thing turns 33's with stock gears)
  5. ill take mine with the uh 6.3 liter SRT-8 motor, front and rear 44's (not the dinky TJ ones though) and upcountry suspension package. :D :D thats a nice chop!
  6. i don't ever remember seeing that valve or any of that under my 89s hood... hm. maybe my memory fails me.
  7. when i read the title of this thread my first thought was... whatever it is... its not a question of WILL it fit its a question of how hard its gonna be to force it to fit. great minds think alike huh pong?
  8. what IS all that gunk? thats horrid...
  9. i was trying to remove the shifter to add oil, but i took 5-90 (naxja) s advice and I'm gonna remove it all in one peice just get the three bolts under the rubber boot off.
  10. how do you get the "shift lever extension" off of the "shift lever" in order to remove the "dustboot" and the "shift lever"? i know alot of yall have replaced BA10s so hopefully someone can shed some light on this situatioin... maybe ill take a pic to better describe what I'm havin trouble with.
  11. How much is tight enough?? ive never really wondered how tight it has to be, i tighten it til its difficult to twist 90* i mightve read that somewhere, (but my jeep still runs so i guess its workin)
  12. tight enough :brows:
  13. steering shock is just a stabilizer it shouldnt cause that i don't think, rent a puller and take it off to test it if you want, i think most auto places its like 40 bucks but you get the money back in full when you bring back the tool.
  14. how many amps does it pull?
  15. Not if you like trying to figure out what that burnt smell is. :chillin: haha, should i try runnin it through a fuse in the fuse box, like say the radio fuse so idt come on when the truck does? or is that even worse.
  16. i looked at that pic for 5 minutes trying to figure out the relation of the person to him, then decided it was best not to post :D ... glad i didnt now
  17. ive been running my fan directly from the battery through a switch in the dash with no fuse/relay and havent had trouble so far, is this something i should worry about? I'm only runnin like 16 gauge wire through a 4$ switch...
  18. thats for all the advice/ideas. i knew i wouldnt feel dumb after asking. (i was gonna try a long hose connected to the bottle of oil held upside down beside the truck... wouldve taken years i bet.)
  19. thats a damn nice bumper, you make that pat?
  20. this may sound stupid, however! i have to ask. whats the easiest/best way to fill a tranny without buying some oil pump, and does anyone know what size the fill plug should be? also, would the same gear oil for a diff be acceptable in my goat? or does it have to be GL-3 75-90 (ive already got some GL-5 80-90) i know GL5 eats the synchros in AX15s but what about BA10s?
  21. Thanks for that tip, I'm so doing that when it comes time to rattle can my MJ. Thinking something like the original hockey stick pioneer stripes as the ghost black :) My homage to AMC. that black on black idea gives me goosebumps! not flashy from a distance but a good eye popper up close. that gives me ideas but with white. Although my first plan is to do the sportruck stripes on mine in some kind of bedliner. so everyone WANTS the origional striping, now who knows where to buy it? i definately want the sportruck emblems back on if i paint it.
  22. i always liked the idea of this swap, my brothers XJ has them and ive never seen/heard of them leaking but since most people seem to have problems (and my work is hardly up to factory-spec) i doubt i would it
  23. thats gonna be a hard cooling system diagnosis without a gauge, you really need to know what kind of use is makin it hot to tell whats wrong. don't know much bout dummy lights, but i have been chasing down a cooling problem for a while on my MJ
