  1. Couldn't say it better myself. To anyone that wants a new Jeep truck: Think of how Fiat restructured Chrysler. Dodge doesn't make trucks, "Ram" is a truck company now... Chrysler is for luxury, Jeep is for SUVs, Dodge is for sporty and youth.
  2. Sorry for getting off topic, but how can you tell the difference between A904 and AW4 column shift? I have seen multiple column shifts and thought that meant A904. Ofcourse, driving and listening for shifting would be easy. But I mean how do you tell on a non running MJ?
  3. Isn't this on the Facebook page "I hate it when I take my doors off and my unibody falls in half"?
  4. I assume behind a RV is fine. I towed my buddy's Comanche on a trailer across 3 states. Remember to put the transfer case in neutral if you have 4WD.
  5. Is it an AW4 or A904? Thought it would be A904 since its on the column. Either way, it looks great.
  6. Nice looking. Kinda like the new grand wagoneer concept.
  7. $3.65 on Fort Drum,NY. Saw as low as $3.59 and high as $3.93 in other towns.
  8. You are right about that stuff. I wanted to keep it and make it 4x4 and a different power-train. But time, money, and space is limited for me. I thought I was one of a few MJs around here. I been slowly finding them more and more often now, still a small handful though. Really hoping that I find someone who wants a MJ in my area.
  9. I was hoping for more value. I was offered more before I bought it. Hoping the new floors increase the value here in NY. I posted in locally and hopefully someone with enough interest can take it. I can't learn to drive it so it does no good in the driveway. Also put it for sale on eBay.
  10. Unfortunately I have more than that invested in it. I'm gonna shoot high and see what happens. Jw, where are you located?
  11. Well I might have to sell my 88 MJ. There is only a handful of them around me so figuring out a price is kinda hard. I'm in Upstate NY and there are only 3 Comanches around here that I know of. Here are the specs : 1988 Jeep Comanche 2.5 TBI, AX4, 2wd, with 214k original miles. Has a brand new floor and bucket seats out of a Grand Cherokee. It says "Sport" on the side but has manual everything and a sun roof. About a 2" lift all around with new shocks. Sits on 235/75R15 A/T tires with aluminum Jeep wheels. The doors and side of bed have surface rust and dents. All the fluids have been changed in the last few months. I have some extra stuff that would increase the price or sell seperate if needed. Such as a Lund Sun Visor, tool box, steel wheels with new Winterforce tires, extra tail gate, and extra tail lights. I also have a new outdoor carpet that would go with it. Has a CB and magnetic mount that needs to be hooked up. Pics will be posted soon.
  12. Who would pay $20k for a Comanche? I know that less than 1000 were made in 1992 but that guy is just crazy. Plus without pics, I don't believe it. Rare is used too often in Comanche ads.
  13. This is a great cheap upgrade. I been slowly replacing the torx bolts on my Jeeps.
  14. Sounds like unlimited fuel! Share that magical can around :) Its probably a bad ground that needs cleaning.
  15. Didn't think any came with a chrome trim. I'll look at my original one of my 90 XJ.
  16. Around here that would be like $400-500. They are pretty common.
  17. I kept the bracket from my old bench. Its not in great shape but if you want it, send an offer.
  18. So I have been slowly finding more Comanches around me in NY. I been trying to find an elusive white long bed Comanche on base. I actually found it recently. So I helped my buddy move his Comanche back to NJ over the weekend. Even got the Jeep wave with it being towed behind a Chevy! Saw about a dozen Comanches down there. I dropped my wife off at school today and saw a black Comanche parked in the lot. I left a note on it. Keep in mind I went over 6 months without seeing any. I say 6 months because I bought my Cherokee last July. Took about 6 months before I found my Comanche.
  19. Think I figured out Photobucket. Here is some pics from day 1 and MOLLE rows.
  20. I'm at Fort Drum which is a few miles north of Watertown. I'll be moving to Cortland area in the fall.
  21. Definitely a Craigslist or junkyard find. Mine is off a Ford Ranger. Keep options open.
  22. Not a big fan of the game. Cool to a Comanche though.
  23. They didn't fit perfect. The package said they were for Cherokee, Wagoneer, and Comanche. But they shop that did the work said they had to bend them to make it work. It looks great now. Will post pics eventually.
  24. The drip rails are "one of those parts" that I would not pass on even for $40. Maybe if you had info on where they were, some other memeber might want them for the $40. So actually, really, I would have taken them in a heartbeat at $40 bucks. So $25 shipped is a good deal?
