  1. Wow kudos dude! I don't think I have the cojones (or patience...) to restore a truck that's... well, this oxidized. I thought the guys by the ocean had it baaad! That's rusty, but whoah buddy are you makin progress! Can't wait to see the final creation!!! It's great to see these trucks come back to live another life with a loving owner :clapping:
  2. OK so I have also been following this build for a while now. I'm more envious everytime I check up on it  Just want to say great job on the build! Truly a work of art, and I'm sure the MJ loves all this TLC! How'd the wiring go? and how close are we to seeing the final finished product pics?!?!
  3. Looking good! I've always been a fan of white trucks with black rims  And great scores on the truck AND axle!!!
  4. ^^^ What he said ^^^ :agree:
  5. Wow, those turned out great! I like the look too... Might have to add this as an idea to my ever-growing list. Keep up the good work!
  6. Ha ha ha funny stories... not to hijack the thread, but I've locked my keys in my truck twice, and plexiglass would have been MUCH easier to pop out then having to gingerly yet forcefully open the slider :ack: Great write up though! Hope I never have to do it, too!
  7. Ha ha ha  "DOO OOD" I love it
  8. Man, everytime I see your MJ I'm reminded of all my ideas and plans! However, finances disagree :fs1: How are those Geolanders holding up? New tires are coming soon I think, and it seems you've had those for summer for some time. Just getting a... long term review, if you will  Great job again! It's great to see a quality MJ instead of my DD
  9. Wish I would have known how to fix my column a few months ago. Started with a lil wiggle, and then progressively got worse. My friends started laughing and called it "The Dance", and eventually ruined the wiring and pins and locks in the column. Eventually, The Dance was NEEDED to start the truck everyday, and the jokes continued. Then, the whole column was replaced when the ignition lock connenctions snapped inside... and the tilt mech. didn't work.... or the multi-function column for that matter. So a new column went in!!! So, make sure to take care of your "Mini Dance" before it becomes a "Tow-It-Home-Dance." End rant ha ha
  10. :agree: Me too! Might be the cause of some of my wiring issues, and maybe why my ignintion seems to cut out a little here and there, and make starting the engine hard somedays.
  11. Aaaahhh... Young grasshopper learning much from wise masters! Ya, I got it from Autozone...Thought it was OEM cuz it matched the one I pulled off EXACTLY. The seal on "my" first one failed, and I figured, what the heck, got the new one here, just swap it all out, it'll be kosher! Guess the previous owner had the same problem...And didn'y go with original Jeep! Ha ha So how do I go about getting original Jeep, good quality master cyclinder? Again, sorry for the thread hi jack ;^) And thanks for extremely quick responses!!! So looking at my leaky master again this morning with a lil sunlight out, it's definetly leaking from the little black rubber o-ring that seals the rod thats connected the the clutch pedal (IDK what that rod is called?) but it's the exact same leak issue as before. So everybody needs to buy original Jeep!!! or just replace that o-ring everytime it leaks :D
  12. :agree: I also did the wrench in right hand, reach over the door, socket with extension in left hand when I replaced my master this summer. PITA to clean the fuse box though! Sorry to get off topic, but my master seems to be leaky again...? Anyone ever had to replace a master after only 5-6 months?! Causing problems and shorts with the fuses again :headpop: Sorry, just wondering. BTW no serious offroading here. Just daily driving.
