you know what man? i say good on you :clapping: it takes a real man to see where to draw the line, and when its your family, they always come first, my family are big drinkers and i seen alot of problems that drinking carries along with it, so i rarley drink, my father has been sober for about 19 years now as well, so keep up the good work being sober

lol i explained her about my comanche addiction :P i also explained to her since she wasnt a jeeper, she wouldnt understand XD
-
thats your problem right there  there should be a bracket underneath your dash, it is a support beam to make sure the firewall does not flex from the force of the clutch pedal, from the fender side to the left(from under the dash not in the engine bay) bolt on the master cyl, without it, your firewall will just flex instead of engage the pedal :P i wish i had pictures to show you, but i just got rid of my 86 to a wrecker, keep going man, youll like er when you get all the bugs out i promise

it took me 2 years and 4 clutches to get mine to work right, do you still have the bracked that bolts onto the master cyl from the firewall? this is so it doesnt flex out like you say, and for Reverse, try doubble tapping all the way and slamming it into R, from the looks of your pic, you have an 86 with and external clutch? if you replaced the clutch/slave cyl, you will also need to replace the master cyl, clutchcityonline.com is where i got my parts turn signals are a bad fuse, which means you have clutch fluid leaking into the electrical box, try to wedge all new fuses in let us know how it turns out  *EDITS* my clutch was verry iffy, i had to slam it in reverse and first, but it still worked, just give it alot of force

honnestly man, you think if it could be fixed i wouldnt fix it? so what i @#$%ed up, who hasnt? i made one mistake that cost me 2 1/2 years of work, i have seen comanches in j/y's for sooo much less damage done to them. the plan was to rebuild the truck, throw a 400 ci v8 engine in it, and then throw a roll cage all around it, it was going to be a secret, and i was going to show all of cc what i did when it was finished, i live sleep and eat comanche not jeep, comanche. if i didnt, i would have trashed the truck so fast when the clutch didnt work the first time, so uppon further inspection to the the truck once i got the engine/tranny out, it was deemed unfixable, frame is 4~5 inches bent/twisted, and the firewall is like a run over garbage can bed is completly fubar, the only salvageable stuff is the drivetrain and the 3/4 tank of gas, which i am salvaging, saving, and selling the rest of the bent and twisted metal to a salvage yard, ill start over new, learn from my mistakes, and build the next one with a full on roll bar  until then, all you guys keep on truckin without me, and ill catch up sooner or later -
