the tow rating of a JK/JL is abysmal. the Jeep truck can at least tow a thing or 2.

ahhh, humans. from the dawn of time searching for new and different excuses to socialize and consume mind altering substances. my next dog is going to go through some firearms training. my Uncle's hunting dog did and fireworks meant nothing to him. meanwhile I could tell you when a thunderstorm was approaching loooong before even I could hear anything because there was an 80# husky cowering under the bed. (or at least trying too as he really didn't fit)

it's purely vibration absorption, there's no real flex involved (or at least there shouldn't be as it's just a mount for the differential). the most common fix (aside from a random junkyard part that just happens to be a bit better) is to remove the bushing and cast the whole thing in urethane. not as absorbent but works all the same to hold up the diff. the problem I was having with the old is the rubber at the top was crushing so much that the diff was rising up and contacting the engine, causing a bad vibration. come to think of it, this issue may not even happen in the v6 KJs. that would explain why I found it hard to get opinions on what to do.

I thought that too, but haven't yet been able to find an off the self bushing that fits. eventually I'm going to press out the rotted bushing and get an accurate dimension.

nope. the supply ran dry many years ago. and no aftermarket company has stepped up yet. CRDs may be rare, but Libertys are not. it's a bit puzzling to me.

old on the left. new old on the right. both are shot but the new one is juuuuust better enough I guess. vibration has stopped when in reverse. if it happens again I'm injecting urethane into the voids to make a solid unit.

because the 4dr pickup is just about the best selling vehicle out and the regular cab truck is about the worst. they are selling all the gladiators they can make. meanwhile designing and building a new variant would cost cash upfront plus take up a space on the line for a better selling, more profitable version. especially given 2020's challenges I'd say it'd be a miracle to see a 2dr/longer bed Jeep truck being made.

most all my memories are no longer in my head. brain swelling sucks. but I do like to collect things that remind me of the past. helps me hang on to what I do have left upstairs.

must be it. for me it's a big meh. I've simplified my life so much that it's not a huge deal breaker. but there are a ton of 18+ people out there that are entirely dependent on their family for survival and not only do they get nothing, the people supporting them get nothing more. I've got family (2nd cousin?) on my mom's side that are taking care of their down-syndrome kid who's in her 30s. their life is... challenging, to say the least. and both this bill and the last purposely leave out adults who are filed as a dependent in their taxes by someone else. not accidentally... purposely. as in it's spelled out in black and white.

I've been written out of another stimulus bill, so whatever.
