  1. ewww, they painted right over the a-pillar seal
  2. I added an inline prop valve for the rear. highly recommended.
  3. there's no way on god's green earth an insurance company is going to just magically cover it for that level of cash. do your due diligence first to see if you can be covered on this investment. I'd pass on it personally.
  4. 120k is still 120k. that's "low" only by comparison to other old-as-dirt Jeeps. 'tis pretty though keep in mind that 99 was a changeover for the front axle and some brake parts are '98 and some parts are '00.
  5. no clue. my guess is that it was a video about replacing the heater core without fully removing the dash? can we do that? or am I thinking of the Libertys?

no need to worry about that, as it's no longer sitting there to rot. turnover at the self-serves around here is pretty quick and it's already off to become soup cans.

I've got no kids and I'm not a priest, so father pete sounds weird.
  10. after fighting with a set of knockoffs I got some injectors from 3 ford expeditions (the front 2 are super easy to pull) so I knew I'd get factory stuff.

    Uncle Pete

on a side note, I've got 2 nephews now, but there are way more kids out there that call me Uncle Pete these days. all my friends' kids, my cousins' kids, and the entire class of my 4 year old godson (there's a chorus of "Uncle Pete's here!" every time I pick him up from preschool). as I tell people when they get confused why non-related kids use that moniker, it's a job description.

he actually bought his first car last year. it's a GMC Acadia that came into the repair shop he's been "volunteering" at. owner didn't want to pay for repairs (blown transmission) and he ended up buying it for near nothing (dad helped with that and the repair bill) and has since been slowly paying dad back. a very non-recent photo of him next to the wrangler I built up for him
  13. I love covers. take something I know and shake it up and make it your own.
  14. man, I wish my Jeeps gave me a christmas present of an "easy chore".
  15. hopefully none. it runs along the outside down by the switch it activates.
  16. messaging requires one public post first, so you should be able to now. (it's an anti-bot measure)
  17. don't throw away the old radio, especially if it was made in Japan. chances are it can be repaired down the road
  18. what went wrong with the old one?
  19. I think it was my grandpa's Grand Marquis that had that? it was pretty sweet!
  20. classic trucks come with classic problems
  21. how is a replacement block going to fix the poor running issues? what were your compression numbers?
