  1. And once you do, get the "adblock" add-on and say goodbye to annoying flashing ads on any webpage. :D My other favorite add-on is called "map+" and it lets me highlight and address anywhere on the screen and right-click up a little map showing me where that place is. Works great for stuff like when someone has a set of tires for sale and I want to know how far away they are.
  2. Oh that's right. I had forgotten about that. Thanks!. :D
  3. I don't know. Normally that's true, but in this particular case we're dealing with the 2.8L and Dana 35, both are totally capable of self-destructing if the moon's gravitational pull is too strong that day. :D
  4. Is it still PO box 9982? If so, then I've got it and I'll have them out asap.
  5. I bet he just searches youtube. More importantly, can I save these to my computer?
  6. In good time, in good time. :brows: First I want a chance to check out the actual paperwork. :D
  7. Probably. But as much as I'm pissed that I didn't get the stroker I wanted, I guess I still got a decent deal on a good rebuilt engine with a ton of extras still attached to the Jeep.
  8. If they weigh as much as I think they do (gotta get traction to haul around jets), there isn't much you can do with them off road anyways.
  9. Click on the "sweet" to go to the youtube link for the video. :D
  10. There's just something I love about a bone-stock MJ. It's a clean (or not-so-clean) sheet of paper with unlimited possibilities for mods and future fun. :D
  11. New Mexico actually, but I'm back now. Tomorrow I plan to call up the previous owner of the Jeep and make plans to burn that shop to the ground, er, I mean stop by and ask them about the "mix-up". :D
  12. I imagine it should be possible to post up in the pub that you're looking to make a list of the AK members and then just keep that handy. There can't be all that many of you (unfortunately). :dunno:
  13. Function over form. :D
  14. You said you wanted a bunch. :D I've got it. I'll send some out soon.
  15. The 3000 number only applies to a select group of camp areas. Philmont as a whole severs over 20,000 scouts and scouters every summer. :D And you only see crowds at the big main camp.
  16. My troop had just gotten to Cimmeron when we saw the ambulances go by. The group that got hit weren't on the top of Baldy and it was well before the normal time for the afternoon lightning strikes. Didn't know any more details, but it was a freak thing for sure. Now, having a bear walk through your camp while you were away and steal one of your foam water shoes, that's considered sorta normal. :D I did get it back though, teeth marks and all. :brows: Eagle Scout here. Obviously still active in my old troop at 31 years of age. It's amazing that one of the first comments in any job interview was about scouting. Either the person across the table is or was or had a son or close friend that was. At the bottom of my resume I list other activities and include Eagle scout and assistant scoutmaster (I'm actually a committee member now, but no one know what that is). I'll withhold Philmont comments for when I compile all my photos. :D P.S. and no, I don't know any knots. I prefer the challenge of figuring out how the over-hand knot can be used for every application. Drives my friend (and fellow Eagle scout) Mike nuts since he loves learning new knots and showing off his skills. :D
  17. The way I figure it, it's not the water that's the problem, but rather the dust and dirt that collects on that ledge and retains the moisture. Cleaning it once in a while should do the trick.
  18. The 1" spacer disappeared long before the truck ever hit the pavement. :D
  19. This is the best shot I can find. You can just barely see the Bronco leaf perch under the shock's mount. But the Bronco perches don't line up with the MJ leafs, so the shock mount is sorta a leaf perch, but not really. If that makes any sense. :hmm: Bottom line: I wouldn't trust the shock mounts on their own. They aren't thick enough.
  20. Along the length to help support the bar. Control arms are under a lot of stress with wheeling and it's not hard to bend them. Sorta like this: Like I said, it's just something I would do.
  21. I would add some 1/4" ribbing to the arms.
  22. With my stock shocks (SOA with 33" tires), I lose one inch of uptravel (which is fine because I want to keep my stock flares) and one inch of downtravel. It's worked out great so far, but having said that, I'm eventually going with longtravel MX-6 shocks out back. :D
  23. Once you buy 2, it's all over. Next you'll have a 3rd, then a 4th... each with it's own rational for why you needed it. It's a vicious addiction. :D
  24. F-150 springs are too stiff for our lightweight trucks.
  25. You seem to have 2 separate screen names. I'll go ahead and change your password so try signing out and then sign in as "carnuck" and use "comanche" as the password. If you're successful, I'll go ahead and delete "junkyard Jim".
