One steep closer to the 91. I recived a phone call last night say that the jeep is still f/s if I want it. I have an old 35hp murc out board f/s and the guy needs a 20hp outboard as his Brotherinlaw blew his up last year... no oil mixed in the 2 stroke... so he told me if I can find a 20hp he will traid.. I have the 35 listed for sale or swap for a 20 hp...I can see a 91 in the driveway soon.

Well I was told a guy that wans it fr a mud truck is realy thinking of buying it.. well it might be ok once fixed up... he wants to know if I will sell an engine and trany... yes the rollbar and the umpers on the green MJ are sweet looking. not something I would do put thats what caught my eye when I went by it. then I noticed the JEEP on the tailgate..lol

no thats it. I have a great engine and tranny I can slap in their and a d44 ready to go. I want to do the 4 door poject I was thinking if I could get it for a good price I could use the box and sell the rest off..the more I think about it the more I am going to find a all black int or spry mine with the proper spray to make it all black.... it looks great.

Well it was not much to look at. the box is almost shoot or the PO should be... the tranny will only go into first gear, someone took a d35 out of an Xj and swaped it into the MJ. sad thing is they cut the perches and welded them on so its on top of the springs.. now if that was not enough the housing is not centerd at all. they have a bike chaine holding the springs togeather and they added a leaf that had just been cut at the ends to fit and its all lop sided in the pack.. motor sounds good for some 360K Kilomiters on it. it was an 87 not 89 like ad said it was but, it had a great total black int not a rip in the bench seat. floor was redone with tin and roofing tar... oh well I can't see me trying to restore that thing... Now the best part of the day was on my way to see this thing I saw this 91 with a 4.5 lift.. talkd to the owner for a bit. he just got it about 6 months back. he loves it. it came the way it is but he has plans for more mods.. I told him about the site and how great you guys are with info and jokes.....

Going to look at an 89 4x4 short box 5 speed today. has a 4.0L in it. I am told is in nice shape but the box sides are rusted out but for 500 bucks as an asking price what do ya want. I have the camera to take pics.

I bet he only bits at one front tire and thats the one that has a sticking claiper.... it makes a high squeel noise that only the dog can hear and drives him nuts.. had this happen on a moter cycle one time. fixed the caliper and no more dog tring to bit the front tire... I know it sounds silly but see if the caliper is sticking or the pads need to be changed.... could just be some dirt o it thats making it squeel..

A friend and I took the tires and wheels off the 89 and set it on blocks so I can finaly start the stripping of the old rusted poor thing. dug the snow out away from the 90 because it was not happy I did that to the 89 and was going to walk away without doing anything to it... oh and stold the windshiled washer for the 91xj as its not working....

I have a million of them I have always been out for a good deal on a bike or a car truck what ever.. I have had lots of bikes that were bought for a song and a dance and usualy came with lots of extras. I would have to say that when I found the 73z1 kawaski was the best deal ever. was told from a friend that owned a kaw shop that the rep was by yesterday and left a pic for me. it was a 73 with less then 5000 miles on it. one owner and has not been on the road sence 73. I went to look after calling the owner. well for 1500.oo I bought it took it home. cleand the carbs, did the first oil change and changed the plugs. fired it up and took it for a ride. wow what I bike. its ser# is in the 5 thousand range. Oh but wait I did pick up an origanal 750 triple for 50 bucks once... oh the list just gose on for ever,,, The 90 mj that I paid 300 for... the 94 xj with 35's and skyjacker 6" lift for a grand. the 91 Mj for a grand that was a one owner, the 91 xj for 500. the countless other jeeps for 100 here and a 100 their... oh what about the time my brother and I piled 26 bikes on a trailer in the back of his truck and in my honda civic for 600.... like I said it just gose on and on...

If I were closser they would not be crying they would be towed to my back yard... man I wish I could find a truck like that here just for the box... I wounder how much it would be to ship... it would save me one pile of time and money doing body work..

VW Thing + Jeep = Jhing :D That looks like its based on one of those old soviet military vehicles........called the YAZ....i think..... That it does but I will take one.. its not all that sexy but with some bushwackers and a lift... chnage the grill and BAM you have something.....

Why do other countrys get stuff like this and the tj pick up and we do not... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I like it now make it a 4dr and I want one.....

Yeah I hear ya with the seats in the back but he plans on just puting one like a cj has so it will fold down. he is going to do a green paint job and tan inter aswell as top. he has a upolstery shop so that will be eazy for him. he was thinking of some how making a cap for the back that is nice and low like a bed over the top rails. that way if he has to pick up a couch he can. its going to be a rig and a half.. original but not if you understand. he has already said he does not want to go bigger then a 31 so no lift if he does not want to.

He is not going to sell it. he has found most of the parts he will need to buy online. he has decided that he will put in the back seat. I can not wait for it to be done. as he is not an off road guy I always get to take his jeeps off the beaten path to see how they work. I thought he could use a 31 or 32 with out a lift. he is thinking of 1" body lift. Yes back to original is the plan. we love to modify stuff but to make something like this original is the way togo with it. like building a 73 z1 Kawasaki if you don't put it back to spec I don't see the point.

anyone have or know of info on ford v8 into an MJ? I found a good 351M trany, t-case and wiring. I am thinking it would make a great engine for the Peyote Build.

Where can he sell the reg and vin# if he was to do so.. this thing might not be worth the build as its not going to be a wheeled jeep. he just wants one because they are rare and would be fun to do. He is going to keep it stok maybe a body lift 2" so he can put 31's and maybe maybe a 6 in it. a 258 or take one of the 4.0L that I have. My project peyote maybe getting a 351M that I just found with t-case and tranny and wire harness out of a 77 truck. we are going to pick up the jeep next weekend I will post some pics...

Floor pans are gone and the bed but for 50 bucks you can not go wrong for a CJ8.. He is going to sand blast the frame, make a floor or buy one to be put in. going to be a greart build for him as he does not wheel its just going to be a DD.. The bestthing is is that all the parts are there to put back on after you build a new body. the pic of the dash does not realy show how clean the jeep is as their is frost all over it but, what do ya want when its -29 at night and only -4 in the afternoon.

looked real to me in the first post.... I think it is funny that alot of people think stuff is photochoped all the time. not just here but on other sites too. almost makes me wounder if some poples jeeps are real or just pics and they do not even own them.... I take a pic for what its worth. I was not their so I can not tell. but anyone that photochops has moe time on their hands then I do... Looks like a bird or something on the widshild maybe thats why the guy did not stop for the bump...hahhahaaa

I just found a jeep for my brother. He wants to get back into jeeping. he had a comando and a jeepster. but now its a 82 cj8 that I found for $50.oo...... thats right 50 bucks how can you go wrong. He is going to rebuild so he is looking for any web sites that are good to buy parts from if you guys know of any... thanks It has the 151 4 banger so he may or may not keep that. but has to redo the floor and a few other things..

I hae owned over 100 bikes bought and sold.... Brother and I have about 40 now and My other bro in Ont Canada has a shop where he sells and installes Side cars... he has bmw's kaws and had a Nsu that he brought back form Germany years ago. I will dig out some pics and post for yas.... always fun to show off the garages full of z1's, triple's, 1100r's, bmw's, and other toys for big boys......

:agree: :agree: :agree: what a great looking MJ.. love the look with the Bushwackers.... find out how much your are going to spend on axles before you swap like others have said. driving that beast on the street will rip that rearend out fast.

Yes it does make a differance when shifting from gear to gear. I leave it in power when I am around town but when I am going to go out on a highway I put it back. it seems to be better on fuel milage that way.

I used that one when I bought the 94 xj with the 6" lift a week or 2 back. it was red so it was fitting... Got anything elts????????

no she is a keeper and n it would not be eazy to find one for a grand in this shape... I might go get it then put it in the garage to change the fluids and about 3 months later bring it out a bit longer then when it went in the garage.... :dunno:
