can't do it... have to turn my head... its a thing that I have to do... to may crazy drivers and I have to know that I am ok when I go from lane to lane... old habbits from riding bikes... I have to look and see the other driver.... nothing anyone can say will change my mind on this one... I ahve bought new cars and trucks and taken them back or sold them because they had blinespots I did not like... to the guy looking for roof rack for the cap. I have a highrize cap here taht has a rack on it I will take a pic tomorrow... if you want the rack I will gladly take it off and ship it to ya... you pay the shipping.

yeah I don't know I have had all kinds of caps highrise with and without tinted windows the low ones all kinds... i jsut don't like them.. I turn my head to shoulder check when moving from lane to lane and see nothing... I go to back up and see nothing.... I look in the side mirriors and see nothing but Cap... to bad you are all so far away because I hate to see something that could be used go to wast and its not like everyday anyone can jsut go buy a MJ cap... might just have to load a bunch on the trailer and bring to yas.. LOL how much is a cap worth??????????

man I can not belive how many of you guys like caps on your trucks.... I hate them.. not the look of them but I can not stand driving a truck with a cap on it.. first thing I do to any mj I buy that has a cap is take it off and put it on the pile of others intill I can haul them to the Junk yard.. WOW I have to start selling them to you guys... all the ones I have had are in great shape and where made for Mjs.... I just bought a 90 long box today nad it has a highrise cap on it...

Its all I use as it works well.. I sell a lot of ax 15 trannys. I have two to pull for people today.... sold one last week.. and 3 the week before.. 3rd and revers go and go fast...

ok james I remeber now. yeah the last 2x4 i sold was a 2 owner and It went in one day for 2grand.. as you know the mjs are hard to find... well inless you come to my house.. I ma on my way to pic another one u today.

I buy them for that price in a hartbeat and part them out in a weekend... yjs like any other jeep have their problems.. frame rear shackel mounts.. drivers side where fuel pump is heald on.. they all rust out their, spring hanges in the front crack, floor rust out around the rollbars, windshild frames go, bottom of front fenders, rear door, seatbelts, bottom of grill, and other stuff but all in all well woth fixing or selling off any good parts you can nad make a buck.... the last one I bought was a 95 on was last thursday. on friday afternoon I put it in the grage. Friday night I had people showing up from 2 and 3 hour drives away to pull parts off and its now tuesday.. only thing I have left is the rotted frame, tub, engine and tranny... the rest is gone....

well their is no way I can make it their in on the 10 from Canada.... any way some one would see if their is a water pump for a 327 and any other parts for one.... and is their anyone willing to ship some parts for me...

thats a great story.. and a great looking shorty I know I hate to sell any of the parts I have or the trucks.. I can not keep everything but 4 or 5 mjs is ok by me... oh and 4 or 5 parts trucks...LOL I know the 86 that i just bought was a sad day for the owner watching it leave his yard. he bought it new. gave me all the papers with it.. he and his daughter were both their taking pics of it as I leaft the yard. he also gave me a june 87 4WD Action magazine with a artical on the thunderchief concept MJ.. I am thinking I am going to sell the 86 but as you said if you have one do not sell it.. well I have 6 now.. I don't need them all.... hummmmmm maybe I do.......

Ok wow that place looks my place in 20 or 30 years from now with cars too how do I git some of this stuff...I am a AMC NUT.. I am putting a XJ?MJ on a j10....would love to have engines... I would take a week or 2 off and come pick up engines... Man that my kind of musium to walk through... maybe I can find some parts for the CJ and the 59 willy pick...

yeah it is as rust free as it looks... it needs a caliper on the right front thats it.. has 230,000 k or around 135,000 miles. thats nothing for a jeep and an 86 at that..

well this one I think is just going to be sold off to fund other jeeps like the Cj5 and the 67 J3000 I am working a deal on.. Thats why I did not say the price I paid but hay 40,000 pennys is not much to pay for a MJ right.

picked up an 86 4 banger 2x4... 5 speed one owner.. hs bench seat, sliding window in the rear.. he did a few mods like roll pan in the rear, took out the air fins out of the cab behind the doors. painted the grill bump and cap to match... not a bad working truck...

as for the wheel you can also git one at a j/y out of a J10 sport....

Thats a nice rig.. I know I love plowing with the j10 I have its just works.. I went down into the woods to plow the loging road for fun on the back property and had snow over the plow onto the hood and up over the window as I was going. it just wanted more and more.. To bad the bodys way beond repaire.. I would fix the cab if I could find a new box to use..

If I had not just bought the 2 cj5's and the MJ I would have that in the yard....

thanks. I was out working on it today. I got the tap and foam off the rollbar. clutch is not unstuck, carb working, but i am going to need a distrbuter as the cap is broken and the guts are all f-ed up... drained all oils and filled up with new. I may have just got a jeepster on trade for some parts. body in poor shape but rebuildable. it also has the 225 and auto th400 tranny. the 225 from what I can find on the WWW, has 160hp and is lighter then the stright 6... hummmmm more hp and lighter works for me...

well I look realy hard to find them all...well ok actualy I have people just sho up in the yard and sell their jeep's latly...lol I am working on the 68 now.. not sure what the plan is....

Thanks man. I took the 68 in the garage yesterday be fore the snow stared. got the tap and foam off the rollcage. cleand out all the crap out of the tub. got the carb freed up, took the starter out to unstick. have a small place on the floor to fix on th passenger side to fix but all in all its a good looking jeep.
