well I picked up a 68 and a 74. the purple one ( coverd in road salt) is the 68 it has a v6 225 d44 rearend closed knuck up front. somesort of cage that someone made. the frame tub and running gear are in great shape. the 74 is a 232 runs like a top full cage inside. 33's that are 2 years old but not much running one them. top and doors are 2 years old. d44 rear works great but tub is in sad shape. plan is the 255 v6 is going into the scrambler build of my brothers. the 68 tub is comming off and being put on the 74 and the rest well ya just never know.

tazjeeper replied to WahooSteeler's topic in The Pub
where I live we have a programe thats like yours.. they just brought it out a few months back. you get $2000.oo towords a new car or a bus pass for a year if you turn in your 95 or older car, truck, suv, whatever,, it does not have to run, start, drive or anything... said thing is that they have to be crushed, they can not be scraped out to people that are in need of parts for older vehicales as they want them all off the road... crazy... if you ask me.... I am glad to run my old 87 around and I hope sometime soon they tell me I can not so I can scream like crazy that they are nuts and have become predjuce against me for driving an old truck. can you see all the guys with the 40's 50's 60's hot rods with 20 and up grand in them being told they have to crush their cars.. how stupid.... One insurance lady told us she did not understand why we wanted to drive old trucks as soon they will be insurable... hahhahahaaa I will be driving with out insurance if that happens -
That is what they were made for, were they not??????

Well its a mix thas been worked on for a long time. I can not get into the amounts of each part as the secret has been handed down for many years, but I can tell you this.. take 100 year old farm land and on the second Tuesday of each month plant a hot wheels toy, add mericalgow and water everyday with lots of love and joe puppy drool, add lots of elbow greas, (and all kinds of other greas), spray WD40 once a week to keep the rust bugs away, and wala jeepcity rows of jeeps. oh and I almost forgot lots of bread and I mean lots of bread... LOL
-
I don't either Taz. But it looks like you have a great place to keep adding more Jeeps to your fleet mate. Thanks and yes it nice to have a lot of room to pile stuff up...
-
Call me stupid but I don't undrstand what this is for... took the 88 out for a putt tonight d44 rear end, 251000 kilomiters or about 155000 miles.. engine runs strong and sounds great. sunroof, sliding rear window, has had one small patch on sub frame on the drivers side. rear before spring hanger.... it looks good and rides great..
-
yeah it will go nice with the shorty 91 and 87 and 88 and the 3 89 long beds... 87 89long box 89 long metric ton d44 rear the 91 shorty when I picked it up last winter 89 long 88 short not to mention the 10 XJ's and j10s and cj5's 7's and 8 LOL

I was driving the 87 brown tow tone... I said thanks he says do yo want to put it in the back of yours or buy mine and carrie it in it? I say what do you have, bam off to the bank and back to buy the 88.. it has a bit of rust on passinger side box about 4" blisterd but lots to work with. runs great and I do not see a leack anywhere... strange I thought so I looked to see if their was oil in it.. hahhahahaaaa drove it around the block and said I will take it.. its a 2x4 but I can change that...I have a ax15 with t-case out of the 89 metric ton that I took apart so no biggy and enough front ends that I will ever need so got that coverd.. no problem I will take some tomorrow... I was doing some searching nad found out that after running the vin its a J10 not a J20. the 20 had a d60 and this has the d44 in the rear... thas ok by me.. it will still do what I need it to do.
-
Yeah its on their.. the guy did not do a very good job making mounts so it's kind of lop sided... oh well I can fix it or take th box of the J10 I have... I was actualy thinking of taking the cab off and putting an extended cab mj/xj on the frame in front of the box... might look good
-
Its a plow truck 76, has the power take off, 360 auto, it works good and is fited with a MJ box..
-
here is the 89 2x4 5 speed this one is an 89 but its totaly takin apart and just waiting final cuts when I have time for a project that never seems to have time to be done...
-
well I was in the yard working away and found that I have a set of 3.5 grand cherokee coils that are new on one of the jeeps.. they give the cherokee 4.5" lift in the front so I will be taking them to use for the MJ.. I have a set of skyjacker LCA from a 4" kit but I think after taking the LCA's off a jeep from a 6" RC kit for the baby runner ( 87 2dr XJ) that I am lifting for my better half. I want a set of them for the Mj I like the way they are and seem like they would work realy well..
-
Yeah we do not tuch are's they grow and thats that.... the deer just love them and thats agood thing.. Mother in-law put a camera out at night... last night their was a nice 7 pointer an 8 pointer and a few smaller ones around plus a fox
-
I am Married she drives a 87 4.0L 5 speed thats under going a lift and 33's at this time. They are apple trees out back over 125 years old.... the deer just love them. we have an other field about 1/2 mile in woods where their are more apple trees and a small field. as far as putting them of grass no big deal as they do not stay here long as I run a all jeep salvage yard called Jeep City. I bring in about 3 or 4 a week and take that many out after striping them... anyones that can be moved I move them and mow the grass then push it back in its home... the ones we keep for ourself are on matting from a mill that keep the grass and the rustys away.... I have the cj8, a cj5, a 2dr xj ( in the wroks), and my Mj extcab ( in the works) projects on it... I had 5 other MJ's over the summer but they do not last long ones road worthy... sell real fast for some reason LOL I thinking once the better half's jeep is out of the garage this week I will put the mj in and lift it. I have lots of d44's from XJs and lift parts in the yard so 4" in the front and soa in the rear should work well....
-
LOL a little but I just bought a J20 with a plow and a pto take off so I can hook up the snowblower from the tractor to the rear of it and move that snow no matter if I go front or back wards HHAAHAAAAA
-
well she is a 4.0l with an auto tranny.. short box as you can see... here is a pic or 2 of the yard aswell.... I have to mow more lawn soon to make room for the thers I just bought,,
-
I just picked up an 88 4.0l auto and a 4x4 4.0L 5 speed that s a parts jeep. the 88 is in great shape. just needs a bit of body work becasue the guy slid into a gardrail with it. pics to cme soon as I get them home next weekend.
-
Just got this old 89 last week. its a 2x4 needs some work. 4.0L 5 speed.
-
any more pic's of this truck? it what I am working on and would love to see more pic's of it...
-
I saw a box off of a 90 something chev step side at the JY the otherday and was thinking I could just fab the wheelwell part on the comanche box. that way I get rid of the rusted out part and have a bit biger wheelwell to cover the tires. now that I see some pics I don't know about it. but I was going use the comanch box so it would be different then the pics. if I am able to do something to the front fenders it mght not be bad as they would match.
