well my wife and i jumoed in the 90 mj to go pick up an engine for a swap I am doing on a tj. 736k round trip. the mj worked great we stoped 2 times for coffee once for gas and supper. the little truck did not mind a bit. average speed was around 100kph/62mph not a drop of oil used, took me about 50 bucks in fuel, wife loves the little truck. she says its a keeper. to bad after all that the engine was not the one I needed

well I will tell you their is no way this guy that has the one For Sale here paid anywhere near $3600 for the pump for is t/d as he is selling the truck for $800 to git his money back. that is for the price he paid for the truck and the pump. maybe he did not put the right pump on it. Jeepcomj are you interested in it? I can find out if the oled owner still has the xj diesel if you want. he had taht forsale aswell.

well great. I am talking to the guy about it. he put the pump on becasue the last owner said it needed one. he is a young guy that bought it becasue it was different and got it for $800 bucks thinking he could fix it. their is an other one that I know of in Maine for sale for $2000. runs great but a few years back the guy was hit from behine. I will see if I still have his # if you are interested in that one. I can give you this guys # aswell if you like. where are you located as I am in New Brunswick Canada. I think I am going to pass on it as I will not have time to do anything with it and it will jsut rot even more...

If its cheap I would grab it, just having a diesel titled MJ is pretty rare, and would be good for a conversion for someone. yeah thats what i was thinking. its a 4x4 aswell. the guy said he would take $800 for it but it needs alot of work. he put a new fuel pump but has not started the engien... and the guy he bought it from last fall has a xj diesel aswell. maybe i will buy them both

anyone know how many Comanche Diesel 2.1 turbo's were made? the one I am looking at is an 86. needs a lot of woerk but I can get it cheep. the guy is saying that their was only 1000 made and sold in north america.... just wanted to see if that was close to being true

I will man I will. I talked to a buddy of mine that airbrushes for redbull, the NHL and a bunch of others. he said he has a great scaner and can put the info on a disc for me. I will be up his way first of the week so I will get it done.

this reminds me i have to scan the mag artical for yas. I just took pic's of the mag so I will post them up in a bit. I think the best thing for me to do is have a shop scan the mag so its read able

yeah I have done it a few times now. first one was a 4dr about 12 years ago... I think I am going to stick in a rollbar from a yj that I have in the yard or after I finish the box with Mj parts i can just put a bar in the rear section from a cj I have here. I finished cutting up the Mj and I got all the int parts out of the xj that had to be removed. I am going to weld on the box rails tailgate and inerboxsides tomorrow in the am. its just a fast I do not care chop job... just wanted to do something fun.. working on mystuff and everyone elts for 2 months stright night and day now... need a break...

what a bad day anything and everything just went down hill after things got bad. anyway I decided to cut up an old rusted mj that I have. then I thought hummm the 2dr xj would look great with the mj parts so I drove it over to the garage and 25min later I feel alot better... :rotf:

I thionk of two things when I see things like this... to bad and oh well just makes the ones out their worth more...

Saturdays parts run. 4 31's on rims, yj rear seat, ax15, yj skid plate and a bunch of small stuff. sunday afternoon a pile of rocks to start making the waterfall pond in the back yard.. not an mj but its a great pic of the baby taking her new jeep over the rock pile LOL :rotf:

hahhaaaa Is that a canadian thing... no back then the jeeps here were the same as in the us... almost still are.. LOL the first owner swaped it in after his son hit a deer and they could not find a replacement grill for the 83. it looks good they did a nice job fitting in

well yeah that is on of the problem with the big 3 they are not and have not done things well. another reason is the over price the stuff they did not and are not doing well. like said the new jeep is poo and I think from around 98 /99 and up are not all that well eather...

yeah I paid $1500 for it so I think that just GREAT the owner had a cj for sale and sold it aswell. he was glad I bought the J10 because he knows I will fix it up and drive it. I have know him for about a year now..

well here is the new tow rig... 83 with 4 speed, 360, needs a bit of work to the box sides but no big deal. the guy gave me a truck load of parts with it. 2 sets of rims, rollbar, lights, springs for front and rear with 4" lift, blower, seats, ect. has 31's on it. it was hi DD and it works good...

That's a stretch. This kind of thing goes on all the time up here. Perfect example, go read BillaVista's Dana 44 build on the PBB from when he still had an XJ. Guess where the D44 came from... I was refering to in Nb that if you do something wrong its wrong.. does not matter if your on a rez or not its still wrong... I am not saying that people do not steal or take something they belive to be ok to take.

well maybe in your neck of the woods on a rez laws don't apply like anywhere elts I am only talking about where I come from... I am not trying to start a pissing post here just read post and had to say something as it does not seem to me that 2 wrongs make a right. that only applys in Math.. and yes someone elts may have taken it or maybe it would have been burned and no good but again 2 wrongs don't make a right in my books. and maybe in your neck of the woods the police don't care about what happens on the rez as you stated laws do not apply. I read your first post as you drug it up the hill not whom ever BIA is.. anyway I have stated my point I think you know where I stand on this good luck with your swap. I have to go back to work to make money to buy the things I want as I do not take what is not mine I have to buy it.... glad I live in Canada where things are more black and white and not so many grey areas for peopel to do what they want.

I find it hard not to say something here so I am just going to say it... so you find a truck.. that could be stolen, broken down or someone is looking for it.. you drag it up a hill and pull out the rearend like it was yours to take... when you first say it you should have doen the right thing and taken down the ser# and reported it to the police so they can take it off their books if it was a stolen truck or at lest find out whey it was out their. not only that but if it was stolen the insurance would know and can sell it off as scrap or in an auction to get some of their loss out of it. another reason insurance prices are going up and up.. this may sound harsh to you but I am sure others that dead this will feel the same. I have to rank you with the same people that stoled the truck ( if it was a stolen truck) in the first place, you took something that was not yours. and then you actualy broadcated it on a web site. well the people that stole the truck in the first place ( if it was stolen) were not stupide enough to do that.... so you rank higher on my scale of people that have forgotten whats right and wrong.. somedays I wish people would think before they take what is not theirs....

well took into the box sides yesterday after putting new 33's on my wifes 87 2dr xj.. got the passingerside all fixed up it was not that bad just a bit of rust behind the flare... I put a bit of fiberglass fill over it all after sanding it down.. now for the drivers side.. Haaaaaaaa took the flare off and found about 3 cans of sprayfoam in their... crazy what some places will do... this body job was done out west before the last owner bought the truck from the dealer... hahhahaaaaa on an other thread that asked why live east.. we know how to deal with Rust when it happens hahahaaa anyway I cut anold corder out of a rusty 2door I had out back just for this type of thing... I am going to cut out the rest of the bad and weld in a new top lip and the side above it... paint and put the flares back on... I took off the hubcaps// some guy bought them for $40.oo put them right on his old ford...LOL cap is in the back yard, bra has been cleaned, dryed nad put away for safe keeping. you never know when someone may want to buy it or I may want to put it on in the winter to keep the heat in around the engine. I will post some pics tomorrow of the foam and after I weld in the new pice tonight all in all the old mj works realy good. should be on the road next week. I am thinking as the A/C works realy good i am going to run this one for the summer with a F/s in the window. I will have the 88 converted to 4x4 for winter.
