    HB961

I think the majority of the country is missing the Bloomberg connection to this whole thing. Solely my opinion, but I think this is how this whole thing is playing out, from a macro-level. Bear with me. Our (VA) governor got caught in the crosshairs with the blackface scandal, which was a HUGE deal here when it happened. Even most of the D party was asking him (and others) to step down. Then, all of a sudden, the whole thing just flat out disappeared. Poof, gone. Several months later, this anti-gun wave blows up here, aided in most part by state elections that give majority control in both the senate ad the house, along with our pathetic, embattled excuse for a governor who had been in exile all the time. Stay with me here, comes now the tie-in. Biden is the party's choice for nomination, but most don't want him as the candidate. Bloomberg suddenly gets huge, despite party rules, and buys his way into the ticket. His campaign ads here in VA are overwhelming, to say the least. He is attempting to buy the nomination, and just might pull it off, and both parties don't approve. His platform is centered around 2A issues and he's whipping up everyone in an attempt to get the nomination. The genesis of his campaign is right here in VA. Why? Because he got our governor out of all the hot water for his racist press with his money, and the quid pro quo for that was for our governor to be the "sacrificial lamb" to blow up all this new 2A legislation here. He (Northam) is the patsy to springboard bloom bergs campaign into the spotlight. A useful idiot, who would otherwise be tried in the court of public opinion (and fact), but is getting cleared by obfuscation and help from the media. In less than a year, you'll never hear the name Ralph Northam ever again, but he will go on to live out his life in a sense of normalcy, thanks to Bloomberg. That same man who has plans and the financial wherewithal to make that all happen, as he buys his way into office. There are things happening in ways that joe six-pack voter/citizen just can't comprehend.

For those following this, HB961 (the weapons ban bill) just got tabled until next season. Yay. Small victory but we'll take it. The hard work now begins to get the whole mess expunged from next years docket.
  3. ^^^yeah that. The HVAC fan is still working fine, it's just that you're losing vacuum to the actuators that direct the airflow. When that happens it defaults to defrost. There is a vacuum resivoir behind the front bumper on the passenger side to assist with low vacuum situations, and yours nay be bad, or one of the lines to it may be damaged/missing. It will be either a small black plastic ball about the size of a softball, or a larger, more oval shaped canister. Check the resivoir and all the lines to it, and follow the one line up into the engine bay/firewall to make sure it's still good.

Well, an update on VA politics. The senate judiciary committee voted down the bill related to leaving a firearm accessible to a minor in "a reckless manor" being a felony. Two D senators joined ranks with the R's for the down vote. For those unaware, D's have the majority in both the house and the senate here, after the last elections, thanks to heavy $$$ influence and geographical presence (see my above post), plus a heavy dose of gerrymandering. And we have a D governor. The "assault weapons" (which they cannot specifically define in any logical way) ban is also meeting resistance too. Clear heads may actually be prevailing in some of this mess after all.

Couldn't have said it any better than that Chief. If you want to see the results of "popular vote", look no further than Virginia. Geographically, about 98% of the state voted one way, but the population centers of northern VA (the DC area) and Tidewater (Norfolk area) swung the vote for the entire state. Those who seek this solution know that, and that's why they are pushing it. It's nothing more than disproportionate representation.

If it passes, and I'm probably pretty sure it will....I hope it comes back and bites them SO hard in the @$$. "elections have consequences" is the current lingo here. That blade cuts both ways.

Any time I want to hear I'm doing something completely wrong, whatever it is, I post over there. LOL.

    I'm counting on that, thanks.

Apologies....it was never my intent to get anyone all riled up. All I was doing was making a public declaration that my wife and I no longer own any firearms/accessories of the type associated with the current legislation. I posted the same thing over on Garage Journal and it likewise got booted too, because of thread drift. But, at least it's out there in a couple different places, somewhere in the electronic universe. For future use, if needed. Like I said, I play the long game. Jeff
  10. Renix 2.5 stuff, as mentioned. Especially the engine sensors. AX-15 related parts (including the trans itself)....crossmember, shift rods/linkages and brackets (especially the bracket bolted to the trans tunnel), spare tire jack, tailgate latches, bucket seat floor brackets, fuel pump assemblies, tow hooks/brackets, rear window sliders.
  11. ^^^one of my favorite Steven Wright bits (my wife absolutely can't stand him or his style of humor, I love it....) I want to know what the A/C compressor did to not get invited inside, LOL.
  12. Roller rockers in the POS KJ 3.7.....pulled a cam out of the junkyard and swapped it in. It works fine. Just sayin'
  13. Talk about a nickel holding up a dollar.....that dowel pin. I can order it online for $3 and some change, but also with $13 shipping..... I actually went to the dealership yesterday, they are ordering it in for me (picking it up today after work) for $7. LOL. So that'll be $17 total to repair my original camshaft. That's exactly what I paid the junkyard for the camshaft I pulled and installed, which is running absolutely perfectly.
  14. I had to spend 10 hours at my work yesterday (on my day off) to figure out how to fix a malfunctioning fire and security system on the building. I got home around 1900 last night with a sore @$$ and rotten disposition in general. I now see how I didn't have the worst day that I could have.
  15. I know you said the pump checks out good...did you ohm it out for that test? Try using some jumpers and power the pump direct from the battery and see what happens. It might suck, it might blow, or it might do nothing, lol.
  16. There's all kinda something weird about that Coronet then (not an unusual sight in a junkyard, LOL....). It's a 4-door hardtop, which would have been a "base" model (not a 440 or 500 trim), right? It only had one "440" fender badge on it (passenger side). Driver side had just the Coronet emblem, which I thought about grabbing. Probably should have. The grill, headlight bezels, and basically all the exterior trim are gone off it. The only straight body panel on it (or without copious amounts of rust) is the passenger side fender. Interior is basically still there, but in pretty poor condition. I can run back down again and look for more stuff/take pics for you if you want but it won't be until Saturday. I've seen some MUCH worse stuff in the junkyard that my buddy grabs and resells. I don't run in those circles, but there's alot of stuff I'd classify as not worth pulling that apparently is. I suppose it'll be like that with our MJ's, if it's not already halfway there....
  17. I hear that. About half my MJ was built from the junkyard, LOL. This is the beast of a Coronet. It was a mudpit down there this past weekend because it rained all day here last Friday. There's a KJ with a brand new set of loaded front struts in it, which mine doesn't need yet (but will eventually). It was too muddy/cold for me to want to mess with them. If they're still there next weekend, I might go grab them. NOT a 440 but sure does look like one. It's a small block 318, but it's the "wide" version made mid 50's-mid 60-'s. As wide as a big block Mopar (383 wedge) due to the heads. They are "polyspherical", hence the nickname Poly 318. Also has the dizzy in the back of the block (BB's have them in the front) and a 2BBL manifold. Those, plus the shape of the valve covers are a dead giveaway.
  18. Sometimes I just go junkyarding to see what's there, not needing anything in particular. My buddy is an old Mopar nut, and I look for stuff for him. This past weekend I was looking for a set of XJ tow hooks for Minuit in my local yard, and spotted a land ark a few rows down. Went over to investigate and saw it was a 65 Coronet. It had the 440 emblems on the front fenders and I got really excited. Until I popped the hood and saw that someone previously swapped in a wide block (Poly) 318. While that's a bit of a rarity in itself, it's not a 440. My buddy was halfway to his truck to come down and pull it, lol. He did ask me to check to see if it had disc brakes, but it had drums all around. Or actually, just drums on the front. The PO actually REMOVED all of the drum hardware on the rear brakes and capped off the lines. Holy hell, I couldn't imagine trying to stop that thing with only front drums, especially if flogging it with that original 440.
  19. We all should plan some kind of southeast area pow wow for this year. I'm only 2 hours or so from the RDU area.
  20. Dropped off my old camshaft at the speed shop a couple weeks ago. They drilled and tapped the POS pin and pulled it out for me for the tidy sum of $10, lol. Ill press a new pin in it and keep it as a spare. They're pretty hard to find new anymore.
  21. Ayup. Minuit is.
  22. Minuit....I went to 2 different yards today. Fist one had 3 XJ's, none of them had hooks. The other one was new to me, they had 9 XJ's. 8 of them didn't have hooks, the other one did but someone grabbed them already. I'll keep looking. That second yard also had a ton of KJ's. One of them had a brand spankin new set of loaded front struts. My KJ doesn't need them yet, but will eventually. I just didn't have the gumption to pull them....it rained all day here yesterday and overnight, and the place was a total mud pit. Plus it's only like 40 degrees here today and misting. The kind of weather that just chills you to the core, so I bailed. I R a wimp. I might run up on Monday and grab them, it's supposed to be almost 70 here. My wife is having oral surgery in prep for an implant and I took the day off to drive her up and back. I might pour her back onto the couch afterward and then run back up there, lol.
  23. No worries Brent, thanks for checking anyways

My work network admins block Imgur, so there's that.
  25. 10-4. I might try to swing down on Saturday and see what in there. I've got to swap steering knuckles on my Focus first, so I'm sure I'll end up needing something from the yard in the process.
