  1. Yep, strange, for sure.
  2. I see three on Rock Auto doing a part number search: STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS, Part # TX28, $18.46 AIRTEX / WELLS Part # 5S1472, $22.79 ORIGINAL ENGINE MANAGEMENT Part # 9384, $30.79 Unless you want genuine OEM? Got a source for them too.
  3. The part number for that sensor is 33002383. Rock Auto among many other parts houses has it. Do a part number search on the RockAuto site, they are the cheapest.
  4. It should still kick on when it gets hot even though the A/C isn't charged. My 91 aux fan doesn't kick in off the sensor until 230* or so on the temp gauge. So I wired in a spare dash switch I had to kick it on if it didn't.
  5. Is your A/C fully charged? If not the pressure switch won't turn the fan on.
  6. Could you expand that pic out to see how it fits in the dash bezel clock space? Also, where did you plumb in the tranny temp sensor?
  7. Yep - missed Geonovast's post. This may help:
  8. Your avatar gives me the creeps.
  9. The axle flange bolt patterns are completely different between the c-clip D35's and the non-c-clip D35's. The non-c-clip D35 flange matches the D44 flange. So it matters which D35 axle you have. And mvusse, for my own personal knowledge, I didn't know the D35 holes matched the XJ 8.25. ASSuME you are referring to the non-c-clip D35?
  10. The hours/minutes micro-switch push buttons have little rubber cups over them. Eventually they wear out and fall apart over time by pushing them with sharp objects. You can replace them by opening up the clock case (it's plastic welded), but if you don't know what you are doing you'll destroy the clock by opening it up. It's best to replace it w. a JY unit if you can find it, then experiment on your old clock.
  11. Didn't crab it in enough huh? :(
  12. Sounds like you are using the 92 idiot light cluster then as the full six gauge cluster had no provisions for mounting the shift indicator.
  13. Well said.
  14. Yep, that's the hodgepodge Renix system. :ack: Here's another good link for checking the 168K Renix sensors: http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Engine/Basic_Sensors_Diagnostics.htm
  15. Damn Sam, UB workin in the mud hard for the money.
  16. Yeah, the factory foil tags are a cheapout and never survive.
  17. Just luck Rob. She helped me unload it after I had the gear change done, and while it was on the ground, I asked her to eyeball the diff cover and if she ever saw one for sale, let me know. She used to market marine Kohler / Briggs & Stratton engines, transmissions, and other mechanical stuff in the Philippines and other countries for an American supplier, and is very sharp mechanically. I make my own tags from 1/8" thick brass flat stock and have an antique alpha/numeric stamping set (courtesy of the USN) and just hammer the data on the tag I fab. This one says TracLok 4.10. The tag is permanent and locked between diff cover two bolt holes. Also xxx'ed out the axle tube Dana p/n and changed it from 3.55 to 4.10.
  18. Picked this up at a local garage sale the wife dragged me to because she spotted the below and thought it might fit. New and never mounted, $25. It's a PML as-cast cover and retails for $160. I still hate yard sales though. :D Image Not Found
  19. Ah, makes sense. The one on the other side must be rotated back to the rear.
  20. What's that plate outlined in red Jake? :hmm: Image Not Found

  23. Good philosophy if you're unmarried and w/o kids. :(
