  1. Tide ROLLED (at the last minute) . No sweat, just another ho-hum Tide win. NOT! Tough win against an fine LSU team that died in the last 120 seconds. I don't see any more problems on the horizon after this game.
  2. Bama vs. LSU @ Baton Rouge just starting. Winner of this game wins the National Championship. Nothing else out there.
  3. Really?
  4. I had to fly up there a couple of times a few years ago to take care of selling some wheat land my brother-in-law owned. Kind of desolate flat place. Real friendly folks everywhere I went though.
  5. Got fairly cold here to day too. Went all the way down to 55F. Still good shorts weather though. Immigrants in Saskatoon? Where are they from? Calgary?
  6. Looks great! That's about as close as you can get to a frame-off resto with a Uniframe. One thing: I saw a Heineken sign in the garage. You don't actually drink that skunk stuff do you?
  7. This is what happened Jim. Edit?
  8. In the Philippines they have been building stainless Jeeps of various sizes and configurations since WWII. I had one similar to this with a Chebby 327 and Muncie tranny for a D/D. Was an absolute blast. The frame was steel, but you could get stainless frames too.
  9. Well deserving member and congrats on MJOTM. I hope you and yours (including your stellar MJ) are all fine and back to normal operations on the island quickly.
  10. Lots of us olde pharts doing stuff here.
  11. Looks like a factory roll bar on it too.
  12. Put one of these babies on an MJ. 50MPG no sweat.

    Whaaa?? :hmm:
  14. That's what they make fender liners for. To minimize water entry.
  15. That truck should be using a Saginaw pump. The pulley is pressed on w. no nut. The Autozone puller should take it off and it's free to borrow. New pulleys are cheap too. http://www.autozone....omString=search
  16. Nothing there, just a pic. The MJ looks good too.
  17. PM sent.
  18. Not that I'm disappointed Jeff, but was curious how your generator worked when the power went out. Talked to my Sis in Gloucester this week; her power didn't even flicker when Sandy passed through. Amazing with all the trees that went down.
  19. I edited my original post regarding the rear sway bar - we are thinking similarly.
  20. The WJ front sway bar would be way overkill for me, but glad to see it helped. What I really think would help stability even more is a functional rear sway bar like the XJ's have. Our @$$ ends wobble like a guppie during a dynamic maneuver because there's nothing back there to prevent it and limit the oversteer to correct. The old SCAA racing MJs (like the one on Ebay that didn't sell - again) had what looked like a good rear sway design to keep things flat. If someone came up with a well designed rear bar for both the SWB and LWB MJs it would be a super hit for us. There was an attempt for a rear sway bar from an aftermarketeer, but it was poorly designed and used L brackets on the shock mounts with no end links and flat didn't work. I tried it. It sucked. This is a pic I stole off the SCCA MJ Ebay listing showing a portion of the stabilizer bar on the SCCA racing MJ. It mounts to the reinforced existing X-member and frame using simple angle iron reinforcement and adjustable end links, and on the axle with bushed axle clamps. All this hardware can be outsourced easily. But I'd sure like to know where the actual torsion bar came from. Maybe an XJ rear bar?
  21. Will let you know if the grommet fits Mike. I see conflicting reports, but for a little over $4 it's worth a shot. I doubt it. But without an exact model/year I'm not guessing. Getting tired of that.
  22. Glad to hear that all is mostly well or should get there soon in CT.
  23. Probably for the underhood light. Why don't you edit your signature to include the year and model of your MJ?
  24. Oconee Offroad has them, $4.10 shipped. says it'll fit the 91s, we'll see.
  25. Thanks Alexia. Now that you provided the part number, I found it in my 91-93 parts manual. Weird though, here's what it says: 53005129, 1, GROMMET, 1991 and below 52117660, 1, GROMMET, 1992 and up Weird. It appears the part number changed in 1992. :hmm: Well, I'll find one - many thanks!
