  1. Glad it worked out for you. And just noticed you have an AX-15 so will have no need for the auto tranny coolant lines. There's a slight issue with the lower elbow fitting hitting the frame.
  2. There is hope for Bama still. IF Bama wins the next two regular season games, and IF Notre Dame, Kansas State, and/or Oregon (2 out of the three) loses one of their next two games, Bama still would play in the National Championship game. I see Oregon and Kansas State each dropping at least one of their two remaining games with their freshman QBs collapsing under the pressure. ROLL TIDE!
  3. Have you checked the torque converter lock-up solenoid coil resistance yet? All the switch does is manually makes/breaks the lock-up solenoid. If the solenoid is bad the switch will do you no good.
  4. Before any of the above, try adjusting the Throttle Valve cable (commonly called the kickdown cable) first. If maladjusted it will cause your AW4 shifting points to be all over the place. Takes no tools and about five minutes to do. 1: Push in and hold the release button 2: While holding in release button, push "conduit" in as far as it will go 3: Release button 4: Rotate throttle to WOT, some people do this with the gas pedal. Others do it from the engine compartment. 5: Hold at WOT for a few seconds, cable should ratchet out a click or two. 6: Your TV cable should now be properly adjusted.
  5. Piss off Jay. I'm still drowning my sorrows............. Cats?
  6. I see now said the blind man.
  7. At the time, sub pay was the most $$ you could make in the Navy. And the Dogfish was a diesel pigboat; as such it cruised on the surface about 80% of the time or snorkled at 35'. Was mainly used for coastal defense. Test depth was about 400', and we very seldom went that deep. Hot bunking sucked for sure, and as did the lack of fresh water and smelling of diesel fuel all the time. But the cruises were usually short, mainly taking Sub School students out, doing a few dives, then returning to port. Once in awhile a Med cruise or something shorter. Pigboats were better than the boomers or fast attacks to me; they were underway/underwater all the time. I thought they sucked worse(er). We are one of the few world powers that have decomissioned all diesel submarines. Should have kept a few to torpedo the drug dealers...........
  8. Pete, is your photo a mirror image? Looks backward to me if you are looking at the metering block from the drivers side. :hmm:
  9. Okay, you're right. I'm blind.
  10. The valve arm is too high because of the SOA convert. The arm should be just slightly above parallel to the axle tube. You could shorten the existing rod, or make a new adjustable rod.
  11. To all my fellow vets. A couple of my old homes, the Yarnell (aka as the Urinal, DLG-17) and the Dogfish (SS-350). Both are scrap iron now. :(
  12. Nevr-Dull. It's a slightly abrasive metal polish and works great on plastics. Been using it on tail lamps, chrome, head lamp lenses, etc. for years. Good stuff and does zero harm to plastics.
  13. Sounds like she will be a winner. What's the mileage Jim?
