  6. i've worked for a big box company for 8yrs and for the past 4yrs as management and it kinda sucks in reguards to personal life because of the hours i work..ie hardly any weekends off. i'm only staying for other 4-5yrs maybe until my bro gets out of the service and we opening an offroad shop. i make pretty good money for not having special schooling. but money aint everything so when we get the shop going it'll prolly be rough at first but atleast we will love our job!!
  7. thats why my bro likes where i live now...hes stationed in Omaha, Neb. everytime he comes done we go wheelin or work on his TJ. last time he was here we swapped rubi axles in and put a LOD tire swing out/bumper on...then went wheelin!
  8. well the steering will still work....but u won't turn it'll just shove the body side to side...lol the only reason i know that is cuz i turned the steering wheel back and forth before i installed the trac bar. while sitting still it was kinda funny but if moving would totally suck and would crash!!!!!!!

  14. don't have many tires.....i just have steel that i get for free..lol i have more in the garage..
  15. Duct tape works in a pinch, too.... (except for a forehead injury, you'd have to wrap your whole head mummy style :roll: Might sting a little when you take it off) Jeff this what i carry in my Jp for the small cuts....

  17. mine looked like that so i pulled the rods and bridges off and cleaned them with goop i mixed in water and a scotch brite pad.
  18. if the axle is a D35 and the wheels won't come off just take to whole axle and wheels to the scrap yard and get another axle...lol :razz:
  19. not only that but you can hurt the bearings in the pulleys. you could always buy a new one and use the old one as a trail spare

  21. with the tire off the ground smack the tire with a small sledge as you rotate the tire/wheel. thats how we get them off at work. it doesnt take alot of force.
  22. any rod burns better when its kept heated...i can't recall which rods require heating...i learned the hard way not to put them in ur pocket..lol :grrrr:
  23. one other nice thing about wire feed welders is you don't have to worry about proper rod storage/prep, as they love to absorb moisture.
