was almost killed, lol. slipped on the snow and sliding into the abyss. had a ski pole with me and jammed it into the snow. it was the only thing that saved me. - hanging from the pole by one hand. good thing it was aluminum because it bent, instead of just breaking off. about 20 miles from my house, - as the crow flies. oh, and one vertical mile.

seen it --you're supposed to open your laptop to that when your on an airplane, close your eyes , and tilt your head back and sigh. lolz.

here's mine with 3" coils, wj lower control arms and the back sits at 4.5" using an mj main with another 3 leafs from a chevy suburban and then the mj overload on the bottom. these springs are a perfect fit and are somewhat flatter than the mj onesso give less lift and a fantastic ride.

there's this: jeep comanche - $800 Date: 2011-07-05, 12:13PM PDT Reply to: sale-rjb2z-2478387833@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] I have a 1987 Comanche i was going to fix up replaced floor boards and is solid (common problem) Has a 4.0l inline and 5 speed red short box and comes with canopy. I also put in 2000 Mazda b4000 seats with are really comfy. I have the entire black (rare) interior in the bed of the truck as i was doing seats and floor boards. great little truck lots of potential but i ran out of time and I am getting married. I also have a NV3550 h/d trans that i was going to swap in $900. -
love those pics. very cool . we should hang-out, lol. i see a lot of places like that in the interior of b.c. but I'm always just passing through on my way to somewhere so just drooling out the window, lol. one day id like to go back up there and drive around -----for months!! thanks for sharing those. i like the trailer too ------- on 35s.

WJ Booster and Master Cylinder Upgrade
shawn replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
it's on this page: viewtopic.php?t=4968&highlight=prop+valve -
that is an excellent mod and thank you for the write-up. looks like 31s on stock suspension would fit no-problem. i also don't really like the tj fronts with the light (although i thought i did for the longest time, lol). would like to see how you did the part where the body contour lines are.

WJ Booster and Master Cylinder Upgrade
shawn replied to Comanche County's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
-- so i have the stuff sitting on my workbench, took everything out in one unit all from my 95 parts xj. and what I'm thinkin is, since i don't have the proportioning valve in the back anymore, is that i may as well use the xj distribution block too while I'm there. ive seen the write up on how to re-plumb it and apparently that is the way to go when you've eliminated the proportioning valve. (i was reminded of this yesterday during sudden hard-braking when the rears wanted to lock up before the fronts.) -

:hijack: - does anyone know if there is a better rad option for the '86? its much , much smaller than on my other jeeps but it looks like there's lots of room for larger. of course I'm hoping for a bolt-in option.
-
:agree: i'd definitely start with having them balanced. thats exactly how mine behaved, and then at least you will know.

86 2.5 to 91 4.0 Swap...(aka Mr. Boobs II)
shawn replied to comenschen's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I'm really enjoying your progress with mr.boobs. i think i would keep those turbine wheels that came with the other truck. they would look great with some 33s. i have some I'm saving for my 86 too. -
I'm lovin' my 4-banger (but admittedly it's not much of a powerhouse). - i can wheel all day long in the coast mountains, then drive to work everyday for a week - on $20. worth of gas. -who wouldnt like that? -its like driving a really big smart-car, lol.
-
so have you had it in 4 -wheel yet? forget about the hoses, just take the cover off, slip the collar ofer to the "in" position, and put the cover back on upside-down. that way you will never have to worry about it again.
