What exactly does this canister do?

Going into a 2.5. That's where I tried pressing but was afraid to pull to hard. I wasn't sure if the plastic part stayed on the speedometer and the cable was supposed to pull out. The place where you circled is on the other side also 180 degrees apart. Press both in together I guess?

Where on the plastic end of the existing cable do I press? It doesn't have a tab like the one on the blue cable. Do I just squeeze the sides and pull the entire plastic assembly off with the cable? My cable has what looks like 2 tabs, one opposite the other. The cluster I want to switch to has the metal spring tab. If that is not compatible with the existing cable could I just swap speedometers between clusters? My Comanche is a 1987 not sure what the other cluster with the metal spring clip came out of. The current cluster in my truck is the bottom picture.

I'm attempting to swap out my standard cluster to one with a tach and real gauges. I can not figure out how to release the speedometer cable. See picture on right. And will this cable work with the speedometer on the left?

I just received and installed a new set of window felt beltline weatherstrips from Steele Rubber Products on my 87 Comanche. 4pcs inside and out. Looks and fits like OEM in case anybody is looking to replace theirs. About $100 w/tax and shipping.

I've never heard of a Street Comanche but mine looks almost like that red one but has Sportruck stripes and factory alloy wheels. I added the tube grill and the ground effect package. Did they come from the dealer like this? When I bought the ground effect package it was stamped AA fiberglass with a shipping label for Archer Brothers racing in Duluth MN.

The hard lines are seized up and the nuts are all mangled on one. I want to install a rebuild kit but I can't remove the fuel line.

Looking for a throttle body for a 87 Comanche 2.5 4sp if that matters. Also need the 2 hard lines that feed it.

How do you rebuild them?

Would you still have any bucket seat brackets?

I have an 87 Comanche with a 2.5 engine. Is there anything in particular that would be different in using these tips on that engine?

I've run into the same problem.I found some hard to find buckets out of a 2 door Cherokee and didn't realize that they were different till I got them home.Went back to the yard to check the year Cherokee and found out it was a 95.One year to new to be an easy swap.So I am very interested in your progress.Let us know how it goes.
