  1. I'd like one for my truck also. Same as yours.
  2. I may have done the connector on the firewall already but will check.
  3. Looks like I have some work to do. Do all these tips apply to the 2.5 engine?
  4. I'll have to back and check what they were.
  5. I have. Is there something I should be aware of?
  6. Yes that's what I did. I tested according to the steps in the TSM.
  7. I have a standard transmission.
  8. I wish I could use an OBDII reader on my truck.
  9. So if I don't get any variation in voltage between points B and C that means the sensor is bad?
  10. What were the symptoms that caused you to suspect the TSP was bad?
  11. I'm going by the directions in the TSM.
  12. WOT stands for Wide Open Throttle.
  13. According to the picture in the TSM I used the correct ones.
  14. I have a 2.5L engine in my 1987 Comanche. I am trying to adjust the TPS to factory specs according to the TSM. It says that the voltage reading between terminals B and C should be 5v at WOT. That's what I get but it also reads 5v with the throttle closed. It doesn't vary from closed to open. The TSM doesn't give a voltage spec at closed. Does this seem right? When I check between terminals A and B it changes from less than 1v to 4.7v which looks to be correct according to the manual.
  15. I'll need an address to calculate shipping costs.

One of the mounting tabs was missing when I got it. I rebuilt it with Plastex. Hope it didn't break off again. I guess the fragile stamped on the box doesn't mean anything.

It's all good man, I was able to "weld" the damage and install it, no harm done...

  16. I finally figured out how to install my bucket seats from a 95 Cherokee in my 87 Comanche. I originally bought some of the reproduction brackets from Krustyballer but they will not work with the adjusters on these seats. I mounted some 4" x 1/4" flat stock on the floor. On the front I attached 2 pieces of 1 1/2" angle iron. I fastened the plates down using the stock seat studs from the old bench seat. Some of the studs have to be made longer. I used some 8mm x 1.25 threaded rod cut to length. The plate ends closest to the trans tunnel need to be spaced up 1" to level the plates. The inner stud in the back will match up with the hole in the new seat. For the outer hole in the bracket I drilled and tapped a hole in the plate and ran a button head bolt up to use as a stud. The front part of the seat bracket was bolted to the pieces of angle on the front plate.
  17. Thanks for the answer. I've seen that canister behind my front bumper but never checked it out. No cruise so must just be for HVAC.
  18. What exactly does this canister do?
  19. Going into a 2.5. That's where I tried pressing but was afraid to pull to hard. I wasn't sure if the plastic part stayed on the speedometer and the cable was supposed to pull out. The place where you circled is on the other side also 180 degrees apart. Press both in together I guess?
  20. Where on the plastic end of the existing cable do I press? It doesn't have a tab like the one on the blue cable. Do I just squeeze the sides and pull the entire plastic assembly off with the cable? My cable has what looks like 2 tabs, one opposite the other. The cluster I want to switch to has the metal spring tab. If that is not compatible with the existing cable could I just swap speedometers between clusters? My Comanche is a 1987 not sure what the other cluster with the metal spring clip came out of. The current cluster in my truck is the bottom picture.
  21. I'm attempting to swap out my standard cluster to one with a tach and real gauges. I can not figure out how to release the speedometer cable. See picture on right. And will this cable work with the speedometer on the left?
  22. I just received and installed a new set of window felt beltline weatherstrips from Steele Rubber Products on my 87 Comanche. 4pcs inside and out. Looks and fits like OEM in case anybody is looking to replace theirs. About $100 w/tax and shipping.
