  1. Budget is everything. "Kits" generally aren't complete. Component sourcing is the best. Where are you and what is your access to internet, shops, fabricators?
  2. Ahh now I see the three dots. I always assumed they linked an "offending" post to a moderator, because they're preceded with "report post". I'm not sure that will achieve the goal, but I'll test it when the need presents itself. I think what Jeep Driver was referring to is the three ... dots you see at the top right on apps for forums on a phone. I don't use tap-a-talk or FB messenger or any of that stuff. It's all a PITA.
  3. Does that include your labor? I've read through many build threads (vicarious pursuits) and it would appear you spend some time in the shop.
  4. My previous reply to this thread is pasted as a link, but it inks to my OP from this thread. Again, I believe at one point you could actually post a URL link to a specific reply within a forum. I'm assuming you are referring to an app. I use a desktop PC to browse CC.com and while I'm running 10, I also use "never 10" because I hate the windowing. My goal is to point to a specific reply within a thread that answers a question already asked. That way the person seeking the remedy/answer doesn't have to read through an entire thread (although there's lots of good reading in here).

  6. Cheers Don ... It was a warm day today, so on it went!
  7. I doubt it, but I do appreciate the Joe Walsh reference ...
  8. Just talked to the (original) owner, who is listing the truck ... It has/had a plow set up that is there, but not part of the deal. Older man who reportedly owned the local Jeep dealership in Concord, NH years ago. The truck was sideswiped on the passenger side involving the bed, cab and door. The driver's floor has been patched. He said it runs good, but does not drive since the accident.
  9. Is it just me, or does that rear wheel look a little weird? https://nh.craigslist.org/pts/d/concord-1988-jeep-comanche-parts-truck/6893231094.html
  10. Gone. I knew those wouldn't last.
  11. Worth it just for the plow set-up. 88K miles. No pics of the undercarriage, which seller states has "lots of rust", but the interior looks great! https://nh.craigslist.org/cto/d/dunbarton-1996-jeep-cherokee-40-88k/6889952702.html
  12. Another bargain … Set of four with tires. https://hartford.craigslist.org/for/d/tolland-jeep-16-wrangler-rubicon-moab/6873325770.html
  13. Here's a bargain. Pretty sure this will only fit with a stock bumper. I have the same hitch. https://nh.craigslist.org/tro/d/farmington-88-jeep-comanche/6883288804.html
  14. Yup. Very nice ride inside and out!
  15. Great, thanks .... I'll try that the next time it comes up!
  16. Plain Jane. Looks good, no idea what the reserve is. My only question … what kind of rear bumper is that? It actually looks pretty good! https://www.ebay.com/itm/1988-Jeep-Comanche/163670775954?hash=item261b89d892:g:424AAOSwvqFcx5Wq
  17. Select "Account Settings" in your profile and edit the fields. Same area where you uploaded your Avitar.
  18. Probably just me doing something weird, but … I used to be able to point to a specific reply by pasting the URL as a reply. It was helpful because it redirected the CC member to threads where the question has been asked and answered previously. Now if you cut and paste the URL information it appears as if you're quoting the OP of a thread. It only happens within CC.com. You can still paste a URL from some other site (ie; Ebay, Craigslist … etc.)
  19. My NOS bumper went on with its factory paint because chroming it would have doubled the cost. Not to mention shipping. I wouldn't have blinked if I could have had it chromed for $200.
  20. The only reason I follow any of the Jeep related groups on FB. Facebook is not a source for anything credible. It's a good means to keep in touch with close friends and family (that aren't geographically close). There's also some really cool pics and videos, and some really funny stuff out there.

  22. The offset of the wheel will determine how much rubber extends beyond the fender. Better than using wheels spacers too.
  23. That's an oddity for sure. The tow mirrors on the Challenger look permanent. Very weird.
