  1. Yes, and I’m having troubles getting it dry. Started out bailing, then wet vac, dry rags, and the fan has been blowing on it since last night. It's still wet... What would you do (besides staying out of the water)?
  2. I don't. My trucks are rotting fast enough as it is. :( Thanks Pete, that dose of reality ruined my fun. :(
  3. I don’t get it; why does my motor die each time I get into deep water? It happened twice today. High water mark for the day.
  4. At 6'3" & 245 lbs. It's alot closer than I would like. Maybe if I got one of those super small units, I would feel a bit more comfortable.
  5. Thats also where I installed mine. Rob L. Any photos Rob?
  6. When you're bouncing around you don't worry about jaming you eye into the corner? Or is that why you selected a smaller unit? ...where will the radio go?
  7. I like the mount location, but arn't you ever worried about smacking your head on the corner? That looks like a compact unit, how big is it?
  8. That would be nice location, but i have a bench seat.
  9. The MJ cab is so small… :( Where have you mounted your CB?
  10. Welcome to the MJ obsession group. I’m still waiting for the intervention and recovery group.
  11. who needs brakes when you have a bucket to lower...
  12. Haven’t people learned anything? :dunno: Pat come back; just don’t try to sell your junk.
  13. hmmm, can you find them very easy for a SB?
  14. Welcome  Is the "factory rollbar" a roolbar or showbar? :dunno:
  15. Appreciate all the insightful feedback. The CC is always the hub for my never ending MJ lessons. As usual Eagle your response was very thorough, thanks. :D
  16. Thanks everyone for your feedback. Hopefully sometime soon, I’ll have some upgraded stuff to brag about. :clapping:
  17. I’ve heard about the vacuum disconnect on axles, but never paid any attention to that topic until now. When I went to make my axle upgrade appointment, they asked if my D30 had one… They said they could “take the disconnect off and simply cap it off with a plate”. So I did some searching/reading and understand the BASICS of what that all means, but what I don’t understand is: what is the benefits and downfall of doing that…? If I just removed it wouldn’t my axle be stuck in 4x mode? I saw a cable mechanism replacement in one of my many aftermarket catalogs, wouldn’t that be the best way to go? :help:
  18. Got two quotes: The first: TrueTrac at $595 with a total of $1,085 which includes parts, bearing kit and labor. New axles (27 spline) would be another $622. The second was $1,650 all included out the door. I've seen the TrueTrac advertised on-line for about $400.
  19. So I finally made up my mind for my front D30 axle. TrueTrac and upgrade my axles to chromoly. But they tell me that the TrueTrac isn’t available for 30 spline axles. So what to do, compromise and go with 27 spline, or select another limited slip…? Any onions are welcome. :help:
  20. Need to see photos before i pass judgement. :D
  21. 99% rust free, sound like it's in better shape than most MJ's.
  22. That is the coolest photo. I’m still waiting for goblazers_6 to organize something like that when he becomes the new NW chapter president. :clapping:
  23. Saw your post, Goggled it and watched a video on YouTube. He looked like Larry the Cable guy and sounded like a drunk dude screaming and spiting into the microphone trying to sing karaoke. No insult to Canada or Celine Dion intended. :(
  24. Last time I was up in Tofino, BC I saw a few of those (not unusual for the Pacific NW) but we also saw signage for cougar warning. Wife was a bit hesitant to continue our walk with the dogs.
