  1. I have come up with a new way of doing an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on a Renix fuel rail. I was looking through a Summit Catalog and saw something that looked like it should fit the Renix rail and with some modification of the rail fitting and fabrication of a mounting bracket I have been running this for several months. hthttp://i1335.photobucket.com/albums/w669/oldseddie/20140320_172932_zpsqtco3oqh.jpgtp://s1335.photobucket.com/user/oldseddie/media/20140320_172932_zpsqtco3oqh.jpg.html?sort=3&o=2
  2. My new OEM ballancer had a dimple at TDC. As the rotor approached post #1 on the disttibuter cap, the dimple was lining up with the 0 deg. mark on the front cover. I did have to dick around with the oil pump drive position to get the distributer to seat all the way but cruisers advice to set it at 11 oclock was spot on.
  3. I replaced mine when I did my ball joints. If you are interested I'll see if I have my old ones.
  4. Probably have an 87 full cluster available if it would work. PM me if interested.
  5. I have fought a dead spot just off idle since I got my 87 Chief and this is what fixed it. Took 30 min. I marked the #1 post on the dist. and then removed the cap and turned the crank with a breaker bar till the ballancer mark lines up with TDC mark and rotor pointed to my #1 mark. I then swapped out the cap for my windowed one and it was off several degrees. Just follow cruisers tips.
  6. ECM acquired. Thanks Cruiser.
  7. I am looking for a clean fuel Injection rail for a 4.0. I have lots of renix and HO parts to trade or will pay money. I am near Asheville, NC.
  8. I'm in Asheville area as well. Welcome to the addiction. I've got three at the moment.
  9. I have a header to. You need to come up to Asheville and see what I have.
  10. Look in your area for spring shops. They re arch (bend) your originals and replace bushings as well as make u bolts. We are lucky to have Wilson's Springs in Asheville.
  11. Those "bump stops" are Timbrens. They act as overload springs and I have run them on my 91 Eliminator for over fifteen years. I'll buy them if you really want to pitch them. They don't effect the ride unless you are well loaded.
  12. Got an 89? I think it will do.
  13. Looking for an ECM for a 4.0 w/ manual transmission.
  14. I found one on an old dash I restored. Had several relays that plug into it and appears factory with Chrysler part number.
  15. Many of us scroungers have spare winches laying around. Post an add in the wanted section of the classifieds.
  16. The hood seal is still available from the dealer. It is for the late models but fits fine. I think it was around $30.
  17. I have a renix block, 2 cranks,a set of rods and a head left over from my stroker build if you want to build a motor. I'm near Asheville. Price is $0 as I need to get rid of it.
  18. My brother had side steps that dropped down on his Cummins pickup. I'll bet the actuators could be used for that. PM me if interested and I'll make him price them. He put rock bars on as one had quit working.
  19. 97-01 the map sensor moved to the throttle body.
  20. Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I'm a wheel guy as well. I run Addco front and rear bars on my 91 Elininator and they just bolt up. www.addco.net Don't put double sheer track bar on front. JKS makes a standard lift track bar that is so much tighter and has no bump steer compared to my double sheer I originally put on. Well worth the money. I'm interested in seeing how the rear track bar goes as I am thinking it needs one to.
  21. The replacement balancers require that the front cover be removed to remove the oil slinger. Otherwise it will not line up with the other pulleys.
  22. You may just go to the dealer with your license and registration and they can make you one. See the parts dept.
  23. Got any more? Mine are melted as well.
  24. I believe the 231&242 share input shafts. Cruiser54 would be able to verify this.
  25. My NASCAR engine builder buddy had me sonic check both the renix and 96 ho blocks I had to see which one had the most meat for boring due to core shift during manufacture. The ho block was the thickest. Now Cruiser says the renix has the most nickel content after Ben just bored it for the Diamond pistons.
