Hormbrod is correct. It would look like a mirror image of the picture on this link.

Soft Brake Pedal After New Parts And Bleeding
oldseddie replied to Rymanrph's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I made my own one man bleeder by using a mason jar, vacuum pump, and a couple of mag wheel tire valves that attach with nuts. I drilled two holes in the jar lid and put the tire valves in it. Removed the Schrader valves from the tire valves and attached hoses to them one goes to the bleeder and the other goes to the pump. Basically I suck fluid from the MC to the bleader while catching the fluid in the jar. Don't let the jar get too full or the MC resivor empty. Don't need any help that way. -
You want the headpipe from Maremont as it doesn't have the restrictive crimp at the first bend. The Walker has this as it is closer to OEM. It was supposed to help the catylist to heat up faster or something like that. Better without. .

Walker and Maremont both make exhaust system parts for our trucks. Try your local parts jobber.

Or you could just sell me one. Be less work for you.

Got a tan one with good shift boot in Asheville. How about $40

Replacing Shocks. Seeking Advice/tips.
oldseddie replied to MinnesotaManche's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I have run kyb monomax on the front and their gas-a-just on the rear two of my mj's. I live in the mountains so handling is at the top of my list of requirements. They are firm and really improve the stability along with a jks track bar.- 25 replies

I'm still looking for a clean left side SWB shock mount if anyone wants to part with one.
-
Mine is a swb.
-
I need to find a left side plate as when I replaced the shocks, the pin that locates the bottom shock mount is partially rusted away making it loose fitting. I have a dana 44 if they are different.

I have acquired the jack and wrench from a late model xj and it is a great improvement over my 91 MJ. Thanks Jim for the tip.

97+ Vehicle Speed Sensor Questions
oldseddie replied to oldseddie's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I talked with an old friend that is a Jeep tech at the dealership and he may have been confused as it has been awhile since he has seen one in his stall. I have a 97 wiring harness as well as a 98 and neither has abs. I was hoping an electronic sender from the transfer case of a 91-95 would work. -
97+ Vehicle Speed Sensor Questions
oldseddie replied to oldseddie's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Or not fast enough! -
While doing research for my 97+ conversion I learned that the cpu uses a vehicle speed sensor on the rear axle for 97 models and an ABS sensor on later models. I have a rare dana 44 in my chief and don't want to have to change it for a 97 axle to get the sensor input, but I also despise antilock brakes. What did you guys that have done this already used for speedo input?

Has anyone tried to run an obd2 ecm with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator on the obd1 fuel rail? I don't know if it can deliver the higher pressure needed. I know the sending unit would have to be modified with an appropriate resistive circuit board but it would be nice to use an original tank.

I just go mine from sms. Great guy, awesome quality.

Make sure it is Mopar as aftermarket header panels are injection molded plastic. They don't fit right and are fragile.
-
Doesn't a Cherokee have a gas tank where the spare mounts? I didn't think the crank handle was the same. Good to know if it is as XJ's are plentiful around here.

I am looking for the factory jack and stuff that mounts behind the drivers seat as my truck didn't come with any of it. As I remember it had a wing bolt to hold it in place as well.

About as loud as a cherry bomb, I have a flowmaster 40 series behind it an it's a little louder than I like but my son likes it. -

Yes I have one. They are a little louder than the catalyst it replaced. Looks convincingly enough to pass emissions though. -
Height Leveling Valve - Whats It Do?
oldseddie replied to 1964dart's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I had five lines to keep up with and spent a lot of time on Oldsmobile an Eagle problems. After two attempts at repair I had to make sure we had it right or it was buy back time. Mercedes although mostly trouble free required a lot from their service managers. They now have two managers doing what l did, and neither of them has ever been certified. -

Cruiser did you ever have any dealings with Gregg Gillette in Jeep technical? He was a sharp cookie and one of the few Chrysler retained. -
