  1. DAMMMMM! Most likely 4.56's, you lucky SOB. :D
  2. Wonder what the wife would think if she came outta the house and that Rhino grill was on her Liberty? :D :brows:
  3. Here's a Brute from one of our guys up here in Alberta. http://www.na4wda.org/index.php?PHPSESS ... ic=1615.15 It'd been real nice if he had gone with a Comanche. :brows:
  4. That's true....and you guys are more fun than reading a book. lol
  5. Sweet. Thanks guys. Now if I only owned the rest of the jeep models out there, I'd know all this. :D
  6. Will these coil spacers fit an MJ?
  7. Tell him if we don't see him pulling a winch line in his teeth from his truck, hopping on crutches through a major mud hole.....we don't believe him. :D Tell him best of luck....glad it wasn't one of those stupid accidents when someone gets paralyzed. :(

    That's excellent.
  9. There are lots around. Look at www.mercedesshop.com in the forum for info on these engines, but don't tell the purists that you are planning a swap. lol Make sure you check the "diesel" section....all the oil burner gurus are there. Look in there for "swap + jeep"....you'll find a YJ, and also a Landrover. :D

  11. First, you only need 12v to the starter and fuel to make the Mercedes OM617 5 cylinder run. Second, for as long as the inline 4.0 will run in it's lifetime for kilometres, these OM617's will run for miles.....500-700-900k miles is very COMMON for these engine. Parts are not hard to source, and not as expensive as you think. Check this out: http://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel-eng ... rsion.html
  12. I haven't pulled mine on the project I got 3 months ago. Not sure if I should pull them up........or push them through.

    German MJ/ZJ

paint is probably Hot Rod Flatz Black.
  14. Lots to think about, and clearly laid out....thanks. I've since found a set of 31 BFG MT's with rims for a good price....I'll be going with those. :) I'm trying to decide if I should toss the spacers on for a picture, just for $#!&s and giggles. :D
  15. :rotf: Like I said....moment of insanity.
  16. You're missing the point, Mate. You asked how much lift is needed to run 33" tires. The answer may vary considerably depending on the backspacing of the rims you run, because how far out the tires extend (or don't extend) is going to affect where they rub, and how much they rub. If you don't have wheels, then your question cannot be answered. I have a set of Ford 16" rims lined up, but not sure of any of the other aspects (guy works away a lot, and they're free....he's a jeep guy too, so correct bolt pattern). Tires are pretty cheap too, so figured I'd see if they might work. Jeep is currently sitting around 3" for lift. What would you suggest for backspacing? And for fun....would anyone here run 2" spacers? :brows:

    Uh Oh.......

Tonnes....yep, seems about right. lol You. Da. Man. :clapping:
  18. And back on the ranch..... :hijack: Did you manage to get any details about that truck? Does anyone know where it is, owner, etc?
  19. I'd love to hear suggestions for rims and backspacing myself. The only thing I have for backspacing right now (not installed), is a set of 2" wheel spacers I picked up one time in a fit of insanity. :D
  20. I know, I know....but I'm not sure how to search for this. "lift" is too common, and it doesn't accept "33's" So what lift is needed to run 33's? Specifically....33x12.5x16 Trxus M/T's?
  21. Too bad....but a great way to go. As for frame under, this was what prompted my thoughts:
  22. Just hypothetically speaking....if you were going to put a frame under your Comanche, what would you use, as the easiest AND best frame/axles to use?
  23. Forget Mt. Rushmore....drive another 15 or 20 minutes.... http://www.crazyhorsememorial.org/
  24. Where's a pic of that one on the beach with a frame under it?
