  1. You can also Get the VIN number and either post it here or Take it to your local Dealership and ask them to print you the build sheet on the truck...
  2. I have a Mile Marker 12000lbs Winch on my MJ...
  3. Advance Adapters and Novak have all the adapters that you can purchase...
  4. There is ABSOLUTELY no wiring changes needed as it is 100% plug and play installation for the sensors and the cluster itself but as said for the tach to be 100% correct a 4 Cyl Tach would be needed otherwise a calibration is in order..
  5. I got around to some more dismantling today... Fortunately It was a base model with Vynal Flooring and ONLY Surface Crust which should sand blast off easily... (I Hope) Some Flakey Paint.... It is nice to see clean origonal Metal under there.... Next I have to get all the interior parts that I am keeping to my storage locker and then onto removing the Bed But that is next week...
  6. You will find the 22G Tank is fairly easy swap and I prefer having the extra fuel over my origonal 15G Dakota Tank... Here is my Same Sender as Your using and I drilled it to fit the MJ specifically for the rollover valve and filler vent line...
  7. I have converted a Brand new XJ sender into an MJ sender and it is very easy... I am not sure about tank sizes but I My MOPAR Parts catologue says there was a 16G and a 23.5G tank available upto 86 and then 87-92 was 16G, 18G and 23.5G so I would say run the build sheet for your Year if it is still available... Either way you can easily make the 20G XJ sender to work with a smaller tank but it will not be 100% acurate if you have the 16G tank... When I made my 91 Sender I had the 18G tank and used the XJ 20G sender and it was right on because Jeep used the same Sender for the 18 and 23.5G tanks so it will read right... Also Remember that you need to stay within your years (renix or non renix) Good luck
  8. Thanks.... I will try to be as detailed as I can when It comes to the installation of the 99 Parts... Today's Progress... Tomorrow I will focus on stripping the interior... I will have lots of Misc little items if anyone here needs something let me know because I am listing all the little stuff locally for sale on Kijiji or it is going to scrap and/or the dump...
  9. OK So I am going to do another MJ Conversion this time a Mint 1988 Sport truck that I am going to bring upto more of a 1999 Specs... This will be a MUCH more involved conversion then my last one but not nearly the same as my third I have plans for (extended cab MJ but that will be a while down the road) So My intentions for this one are: - Strip down everything - Sandblast Everything inside outside and upside down - Do any repairs and modifications that are necessary - Completely LineX the underside and X-Frame (most likely colour matched to the exterior) - Then Paint it inside and out (colour is Unknown @ this time) - I am debating on doing a 2500 Conversion as well but I will see if this becomes an option or not late - Many other MISC things but they will remain a Secret till the truck is closer to completion So for starters here is the Truck and I have started stripping it today... This Truck is origonally a 2WD 4cyl Manual Bone stock MJ that will become a 4.7-5.0L Supercharged engine and fully loaded with every option know including heated leather seats... I will Upload more pics as the truck progress's...
  10. I had planned on doing this swap to My 97+ conversion MJ but for insurance purposes I decided to stay with the 4.0L and Stroke it to a 4.7 and Supercharge it... I will get to this swap again for a future Project especially since I have it all figured out and is a very simple, time consuming but simple swap... Good luck with your swap...
  11. Nope It looks like I was the lucky one as I just looked up the parts sheet and it shows a Nut so I was just lucky in the two I have which someone must of made a plate with nuts welded on... Sorry for the mis info... After looking at My Project MJ here , you should have no trouble getting to the nuts once the bumper is off... Good luck
  12. Decent write up... I plan on getting extremely detailed with my Next 97+ conversion Thread that I should be starting in the next few days...
  13. Nice I have always been interested in the factory hidden winch mount but never knew that Warn made a version... Looking forward to the CAD file and the instruction sheet...
  14. Normally it is a Plate in the back with nuts Welded to the plate...
  15. When I did my Swap from Renix to HO I swapped XJ everything, interior harness and dash as well as underhood harness... But when using the HO Harness it will not plug into the MJ tail light harness so splicing would be required... The Second and third time I did the renix to HO swap I just used the under hood harness and swapped it just like I have done a 100 times with CJ and YJ HO conversions which is the easiest way to go...
  16. They are 19lbs@43.5psi so that is 21lbs@49psi and since your fuel pressure is 49psi that makes them 21lbs...
  17. If you can dig up the part numbers then they can easily be cross referenced on the net to find the specs... I love having the bedlined...
  18. Was there a Part number on the injectors? If they are 19lbs Injectors then 19lbs @ what psi? Otherwise they might be too small for your aplication as the stock Injectors would have been around 23lbs@49psi depending on the part number http://jeep4.0performance.4mg.com/tech_specs.html
  19. I Prefer the 242 for the Full time if and when needed...
  20. All the brake line tools were from Eastwood. Click the name for a link. From top to bottom: The flaring tool (stuff in the black box) is Professional Brake Tubing Flaring Tool Item #25304. List price $250 The "pliers" (blue handles, sitting on cardboard) are Eastwood Brake Line Forming Tool Item #49074, $25 The rolling tube bender (black handles, sitting on white plastic) is Tubing Bender Rolling Item #49041 $90 The prices are not cheap, but I knew that going in. If you're patient there are better deals through ebay and sales they run. I tried to find some used, but no luck. I figured I could sell them after I finished my project, but they were so nice I'm going to keep them for now (which explains why there isn't a used market) since I can use them for future projects as well. The brake line and nut packs are from FedHill. After much research, I chose their "Cunifer" material over stainless steel. It was very easy to work with, bend, cut, deburr, and flare. I'll be able to report on corrosion resistance after this winter. Thanks for sharing... I use a Hydraulic Flare Kit http://www.eastwood.com/universal-hydraulic-flaring-kit-not-for-stainless.html allthough I got mine thru Snapon... This is nice since you can use it on Stainless which the Hydraulic kit is not said to be used on...
  21. Cool Tools can you list the brand and part numbers?
  22. I think you are correct that there are two different discussions (I am not trying to argue) and as always writing it on the internet tends to lose the meaning of how things are ment to be writen especially when your not a writer so to speak and not always get the point across... I am simply trying to say that No two vehicles are the same and therfore there are always different variable that can not always be foreseen so any calculator will not be acurate hence the statement " it is not a perfect world" I know too many engineers that can figure out everything in a calculation but sometimes when it goes into action changes need to be made because of the unforeseen variables in life and nothing is that straightforward to always be exactly perfect... I am finished with this and sorry for the confusion as it is obvious there has been some confusion...
  23. But Your tax free In NJ aren't you?
  24. Okay, you win. In the United States, there is a fixed relationship between the engine speed and the wheel speed. In Canada the laws of Physics and Mechanics do not apply. Now we can both be right. I would take it a step further...........but I won't. At least it was a mod that said it. :P Can you be a bigger douche... It is not a matter of right or wrong, it is not a matter of USA or Canada but always an ignorant American has to make a US/Canada remark.... I never said You are wrong, but Your not perfect and Nothing else is either including RPM's...
