  1. As per Motion, mine are 1350# MT rated 4.5" lifted springs. The reg or std pack where 960# rated. (same as factory) They are about the same height as the Rusty's where. Before the RE Add-A-Leaf install that is. I'll post up as time goes be with how I like them. So far they are fine, but all I have gone is around the block. Like Dirty, said, hopefully things will balance out with some miles... I'll likely add another .75 spacer to the drivers coil though as that's how I have had it since my first lift in this truck. CW
  2. The springs where on my Door Step Friday when I got home!!! SO, Plans changed a bit and I put them in today!! SO GLAD I DID as the springs had broken again alongside and thru my welds!!!!  Install went as it should, only one hiccup and one minor problem. The centering bolt head was too small for the hole in my perch's. Quick trip to the drill press fixed that!! I made a spacer of the correct diameter to fit the hole. Finished the D side and started the P side... here is the hiccup. Seems either the Alcans or the Rusty's dimensions are wrong. (I'm leaning toward the Rusty's but don't know for sure.) The distance from the front bushing to the centering bolt on the Rusty's is 26 1/8" the Alcans is 25". This moves the axle too far forward. :headpop: :headpop: My solution was to make ANOTHER new centering pin and move the axle back to the front hole in my perches. ( making the distance from the front bushing to the centering pis 26.5" ) But because of this, I also had to bore new relief holes in my U Bolt skids. Everything bolted up nicely from there on out. I ended up loosing about an inch from over all lift. I also noticed the DS pronounced lower then the PS. Buy about two inches!!! I found that Pop had tightened the front bushing with the axle up in the air. But that only got me back an inch. As it sits now, its still lop sided to the DS by about an inch. Because of the loss on lift out back the front now sits higher. I don't like that SO, out come the ACOS's!! BUT, I screwed up again, as I had the ACOS's set to give me about 3/4" more lift to the DS to offset the natural "lean" toward the DS.... This compounded the lower spring in the rear.... :headpop: :headpop: :headpop: But its all together and I am not changing it today!!! SO it sits nice for front to rear rake, but leans a bit from pass to drivers sides... I also found some Cancer... I have some frame repairs to do.... CW

  4. While they are not the Hell Creek, they are Motion Off-road, ( Motion is a supporter here on the board) also sells a 3" leaf spring. Its also available in reg and HD flavors. I just sprung for the 4.5" HD set and they arrived THREE DAYS before the shipper estimated!!! The LOOK great, just like a factory set, with an overload spring. Install tomorrow. CW
  5. My new springs arrived today!! THANK YOU MOTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tomorrow, (Saturday) is install day. Just in time for the show on SUNDAY!!!! Stay tuned for the pix. CW
  6. Told ya it was easy and I KNEW you could do it!! GOOD JOB!!!! CW

  10. I have another set on the TJ and those are like your refering to. the light is great, its like a flood, but seems to go everywhere. In the rain its like you don't have any lights. CW
  11. My experience basically mirrors BLHTAZ's. I did have a problem with the sidewalls on the XTerrrains. They WERE not so great. But they are better now. :D I have a some friends ( YES I do!!) who swear by the AT's on there PU's at street trucks. I like them and feel they are a good tire. CW
  12. Actually its Freezer paper...... :brows: :brows: :brows: But I did go nuy my own tape!!! :D :D CW
  13. BDS 4.5" XJ coils. They are the same OAL as the Rough Country's that I had in there but they are larger diameter and have more "wraps". It is stiffer riding and that's exactly what I wanted, it rides like I think a truck should ride!! CW
  14. I am sure it does, but with a brandy new three core it stays at 210 most all the time. Its skelotonized fairly well so it does allow some flow. This is my only issue with the XJ/MJ.. The flow that's allowed to go thru the rad SUX!! CW
  15. I don't know the MFG of mine, but I got them off EBay and love them. they are just like the auto-pal's. I use the sylvania silverstar bulb in mine when the supplied ones crapped out. they got even better!!! CW.
  16. Soprry man, I must have missed your question.. CW
  17. Wife went to work today....I got also done!!! Started with the front coil swap.. EASIEST EVER!! DB's RULE!!!! Remove wheel, unbolt lower shock mount, lower axle remove coil. replace with new coil repeat in opposite direction. Same other side. Drink 2-3 beers. Next project: PAINT repairs... Sanded effected areas down and feathered the edges nicely. Shoot it with primer. Shoot the top coat... Watch for bugs and drink more beer. :D  :brows: Ended up with 1.5 extra out back and almost 2 in the front. Its about dead level. Hopefully the new leafs will lift the rear a bit to get back a bit of a rake that I like. FRONT: REAR: CW

    #%$@&$$@

no offense Eagle, but have you had to deal with insurance companies very much? I've got the EXACT SAME damage for the most part, worse even, and can't get a dime out of them even though facts show the other guy is at fault. he was even issued a ticket. WTF? i say he's lucky to have gotten anything so quickly. This is status quo for insurance Co's. Adjusters don't keep there jobs long PAYING CLAIMS!! That's why you need to get a lawyer, or KNOW the law. There is also the people aspect, new adjuster, no claims, sympathy vote or maybe just a kind hearted soul who hasn't been corrupted by the system yet. In any event, The bottom line is: If you have damage from an accident. Said accident is NOT your fault. (IE the other driver getting the ticket PROVES responsibility.)The other driver indeed has insurance. OR with "NO FAULT" you have coverage that pays for that damage, you are entitled to get the vehicle repaired. As long as the damage doesn't exceed 2/3 - 3/4 the value of the vehicle. If it does, that's when the vehicle is declared a "TOTAL LOSS". At that point you would receive the value of the vehicle as cash. If there is any "problems" you get a lawyer. Once you get a lawyer, all of a sudden they don't treat you like "some dumb kid". (No offence meant) As a matter of fact, they CANNOT deal with you at all. EVERYTHING goes thru the lawyer AND the cost to the ins CO goes UP UP UP. As lawyers in such claims work on a 1/3 cost. In other words, 1/3 of EVERYTHING they get for you goes to them, so its in there interest to get you as much as your due. CW
