  1. I can't remember this member's name, but I DO remember how nice this truck is. And the killer garage. http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/1572450983.html
  2. Bed is lined up nicely with the cab, so it's not that. Don't know how, or when, it happened. Again, I've noticed it before but didn't think much of it. With the spacers, it's just so pronounced because the sidewall of the tire is now clearly beyond the flare. I assume the simple fix is to loosen the U-bolts and then jack it up and tap it over? This should not work because the spring packs have centering pins that locate themselves in a hole on the perches. Yeah, but essentially what I am saying is you should be able to "slide" the axle through the U-bolts.
  3. LMAO, don't think I haven't thought about that...........for the short term at least!

  5. Sounds like a plan. Again, it's a factory 44 (I have the original window sticker), so unless the PO, who was the only owner prior to me, replaced a 44 with a 44??, it's the original. I've never eyeballed it for being on center, but I have a pretty good eye for that kind of stuff so I'll check it out. Here are pics taken this evening. Not sure if it is as obvious as it is to the naked eye.
  6. Factory D44, MJeff87 and I swapped in Metric Ton springs in 2008.
  7. Pictures to follow. Took my truck to my buddy's shop to get my rusted rear brake lines replaced and had them throw on my Spidertrax spacers while the rear wheels were off. I noticed this somewhat before, but with the 1.25" addition of the spacers, the issue is much more pronounced. That being, the passenger side rear wheel sticks out AT LEAST 3/4 - 1" farther than the driver side. To the point it almost looks stupid with the spacer on there. First guess would be that the axle had somehow shifted, but 1) truck drives nicely without any shimmy etc. that I would expect from the rear axle being out of alignment, 2) I have never curbed the truck myself, but obviously the PO could have. Thoughts??
  8. yeah, MJ4BT is a member on here, if you haven't seen his.............way cool
  9. There was a guy who has only been on here briefly but IIRC he took an Onan diesel generator and put it in his 86, did all the fab work himself. Pretty impressive, and incredible mileage I believe. *edit* found the thread... viewtopic.php?f=3&t=14967&hilit=comanche+x+diesel
  10. do a search on here, there have been several applications.
  11. dude, you just responded to a 3 1/2 yr old thread. :fool:
  12. HO has more HP and is higher/faster revving. Renix is less HP than HO and slower revving as I have come to understand on here. Funny this topic has come up again, as I recently drove, for the first time in a long time, my sister's '96 XJ 2dr 4x4 Sport, 4.0HO w/5spd manual. I forgot how fast that thing was. Total night and day on how it revs compared to a Renix.
  13. my dad had a buick regal in the late 80s or early 90s and i am pretty sure it was over 4 litres. :dunno: *edit* a quick google, it was in the early 80s in regals and other models and was 4.1L V6 From Wikipedia: In response to rising gas prices, a larger 252 cu in (4.1 L) version of the 3.8 L LD5 V6 was produced from 1980 through 1984 and marketed as an alternative to a V8. The bore was enlarged to 3.965 in (100.71 mm), yielding an output of 125 horsepower (93 kW) and 205 lb·ft (278 N·m). This engine was used in many large rear-wheel drive Buicks, and in some models from each of GM's other divisions, including Cadillac which offered the "big" Buick V6 in several models from 1980 to 1984 as a no-cost option to the troublesome V8-6-4 engine used in 1981 and early versions of the aluminum-block Cadillac HT-4100 V8 introduced in 1982. It was also the standard powerplant in the front-drive Riviera and Olds Toronado from 1981 to 1984. Additionally, the 4.1 block was used unsuccessfully at Indianapolis for racing. Its only weakness was the intake valve pushrod seals. Year Horsepower Torque Fuel System Compression Ratio VIN Code RPO Code 1980-84 125 hp (93 kW) @ 4000 rpm 205 lb·ft (278 N·m) @ 2000 rpm 4-BBL 8.0:1 4 LC4 Applications 1980-84 Buick Electra, 1980-84 Buick LeSabre, 1982-84 Buick Regal, 1981-84 Buick Riviera, 1980-82 Cadillac DeVille, 1981-82 Cadillac Eldorado, 1980-82 Cadillac Fleetwood, 1981-82 Cadillac Seville, 1981-83 Oldsmobile 98, 1981-84 Oldsmobile Toronado, 1982 Pontiac Grand Prix, 1982 Pontiac Bonneville

  15. Chandeliers is good for big crowd. Caps is fun, you could do a tournament with that.
  16. I thought it was illegal to run recaps on a commercial steering axle? I did too, but it has to do with max speed and amount of hwy use I think. School buses run caps on the steer axle also, as do garbage trucks.
  17. Update: homeboy didn't even know it had a 401. Now it's only 100 times cooler.......and a great buy at $6500 IMO
  18. UPS runs caps on all four corners
  19. The key to good caps these days is to have a really good casing to start with, and the fact they are on Bridgestone casings says a lot for Treadwright's quality IMO. Bridgestones, particularly in their commercial tire line, have one of, if not THE strongest casings out there.

  21. So did I miss where you say that if you sell the MJ you were gonna get some other kind of Jeep? :dunno:

  23. Sure you do, when he plays (and wins) next week. Don, assuming you watched that Cards game.......unbelievable! I really can't believe Rackers missed that chip shot, he's pretty reliable. Looked like he tried to hammer it. Anyhoo, NFC better watch out, Cards are definitely coming together and will have the confidence/experience from last year. I say the Super Bowl will be Colts/Vikings with Peyton putting his name in the top 3 all time now that he'll have multiple Super Bowl wins.
  24. Y'all don't like him because he doesn't coach your respective teams. :D Trust? Feeling? WTF? He get results within the rules. You prolly don't trust him because he reneged on his comittment to the pros. He belongs in college football - he knows that - his style wouldn't work in the pros. Bring him to NEB or UVA and he would turn those programs around too. Quickly. Get real. Meh... you can keep him... I have the right coach for my team right now.... I think from #117 in Scoring Defense to #1 in 2 years is pretty good turn around... Nebraska had fallen further than ALA did with the goofy Bill Callahan "experiment"... ***EDIT*** The Last time a Saban coached team played Nebraska... the score was 50-10 *** EDIT 2 *** Nebraska has 3 National Championships since the last time Alabama won one... :D
