i am patriot fan, so we'll see who wins. i am betting it's the patriots, 12-0 baby!

i better start making a list of everything i need. you were all over the place then. there's a guy at my work said he can most likely get me an engine for cheap because his brother. and if i can find out if my engine has large journals i can trade him and get it a whole lot cheaper that way.

is it possible to convert or get a tbi 3.4L?
-
well i checked the harmonic balancer and i didn't see a lump. is there another way to find out if it's a late 86'?
-
a guy at my work is looking for a 2.8L with large journals to convert it to a 3.1L, not really sure if the one in my manche has it, haven't found anything about it so i don't think it does. would you be able to convert the 2.8L out the 86' manche to a 3.1L? if so i can make a deal with him to get a 93' 3.4L with the harness and computer for cheap. if not my dad was telling me about getting the 3.4L brand new with the harness and computer for 1200$.

i had actually read that about a month ago on the internet, i forget what i was looking up, but it had something to do with jeeps and it had a bit of info on that.

we have become a consumer country, everyone has become a consumer, even with medical stuff, people aren't considered patients anymore, we are considered health care consumers. basically all we do is import, we don't export hardly anything at all. which is really bad for the economy and what the hell would we did if these foreign places like china cut us off of the supplies, we'd be screwed.

i was thinking about doing that, but i decided i would rather have the bench seat. i don't like the leather though, so i'ma get it re-upholstered with something, for some reason, today i haven't been able to think of what that fabric is called. helps it stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. plus i gotta big ol' rip along the back of it that i am getting tired of seeing.

i thought the camaro put out 140 and the firebird put out 160? maybe i read something wrong or mixed em up.

finally got around to taking some more pictures today. there's really nothing wrong with it other than the piece of $#!& engine. i won't have the engine or tires until the end of the month or mid-jan. it's gonna get a new paint job as well. i am going to wait awhile to get the lifts. but once i start working on it, i'll post pictures. Image Not Found the truck has basically no serious rust, it's got a few little brown spots where it's started but they are like freckles. has two or three very minor dings in it. the tailgate is bent away from the bed about a half inch to an inch, it's not noticeable though. Image Not Found will be getting rid of this gutless engine here soon. gonna swap it with a 3.4L Image Not Found i am planning on getting the bench seat reupholstered. Image Not Found it's about time for some new tires, these are starting to bubble, and the tread is almost gone, looks like there is more than there actually is in the picture. Image Not Found

damn, that's a lot of recalls. this is exactly why we need to re-open the factories we once had that produced high quality products, at the same time it'll give many unemployed people jobs and maybe we can lower the poverty level down, i don't know how high it is right now, but it might get some people off the streets, maybe even turn our country around and head down the right track. just about everything is made in china now, and they are trying to kill us. damn china. if it doesn't come from china it comes from another foreign country, and just about all of it is just worthless pieces of $#!&. whether it is tools or toys, usa made durable and high quality products, all worth it's price.
-
dang, that looks pretty darn good.
-
haha well i didn't figure you were, but i did figure you know what you are talking about. well i haven't developed a style for this type of thing yet so i don't really have one.

2.8's from a chevy s10 or blazer would have the TBI. retrofitting a TBI from something like a 4.3 to a 2.8 (or 3.4) would be expensive, making the swap pointless. also, putting that TBI or carb from the 2.8 on would kill power and economy...the point is to get both, and MPFI can give that to you alot better, plus I'm not even kidding, there's about 20 wires to remove entirely, and 7 to splice, and a fuse box in the engine bay to alter (remove ABS control, air shock control, etc). it's really not rocket science...you're tricking the motor into thinking it's still in the camaro once i get the engine and harness and begin the swap i will let you know, in case i run into any problems.
-
nah, i decided i would go with the 3.4L for now, until i have more time and money to fix 'er up better. alright, i will do that.
-
damn, this will be real handy then. all this will work for the 3.4L swap into a manche right? i would assume it would otherwise i don't think you would have mentioned it, but i just want to make sure that it applies to that swap.
-
alright. well i really don't know anything about it, i am still learning about a lot of this stuff. i can do some engine work and electrical work, but there's still a lot i don't know.
-
the truck i have now. 86' comanche bought it off my dad.
-
i most likely wouldn't get the whole front half. i got no way to haul it to my place, and i wouldn't need the rest of the crap that came with it, i just the need the engine and harness. we are talking about the front half a firebird.
-
Thanks Pete, I just got mine today. I'll send you some cash here in the next few weeks when I have some money.

washington has an 8% sales tax, i don't know about the state tax. i don't even see how it's possible to tax someone on personal property, that sounds about as ridiculous as someone putting a tax on walking, i have never heard of it of the pp tax. i would hate to live in PA then.
-
a personal property tax? what kind of b/s is that?
-
damn, i haven't even thought about givin' my mj a name yet. do you have to earn it or you just name it what you want and that's all there is to it?
-
the whole front half or just the motor? if it is just the motor i could use a hoist, if it is the front half, i'd probably chain it up and put it out with another vehicle.
