i was actually thinking about writing the numbers on a piece of cardboard and putting it up. haha but i don't think it would work to well. some of the cops around here are real dicks. i see i made some errors on my original post. we have two plates, but only the rear has to have the tags.

you have the front license plate though don't you? mine fell of somewhere around town, i will probably never find it. it usually came loose and hung down so i'd have to keep fixing it. never actually occurred to me that it would come off completely. haha bad move on my side. i don't have any tickets either. i was at a gas station last night and several cops had driven by, two of them pulled off in different places to watch for speeders. so i drove around back and took a different route home.

lost my front license plate the other day, fell off some where, tried finding it but couldn't. don't have the money to get a new set or replace it. washington law requires that you have two license plates but on the rear be tagged, i think that is pretty stupid that you gotta have two of them. not like it makes much of a difference if you have one. i've seen plenty of vehicles driving around with only the rear license plate.

i'm telling you guys. if you check out ron paul and what his message is you'll more than likely go for him. if you guys like the idea of less government. no income tax. and you like your freedom and liberties. the majority of the candidates are criminals, and some are part of the cfr, and anyone who is in the cfr IS a criminal. don't know what party you guys are for. but ron paul is a libertarian, but he's THE most conservative candidate running under the republican party. a very intelligent person. a doctor. and a veteran from vietnam. he's all about individual rights, and the american people. just check him out. mccain wants to stay in iraq for another 100 years. all the other candidates think that this "war on terror" is a good idea and want to stay course and let more troops die in this worthless, unconstitutional war. the troops don't want to stay. they want to come HOME. so if anything vote for ron paul and he'll bring our boys home, so we don't have to see anymore american casualties. he's the ONLY candidate that will bring ALL of our troops home to protect our country. he's received more military donations than any other candidate. veterans love him. people who like their freedom and liberties love him, because of his message. i don't care if you guys don't agree with me. but you guys should check him out.

well if the dl is screwing with your system it could be a virus or adware or something $#!& like that if you dl'ed it from the net. got any protection running? i would advise kaspersky if you aren't.

alright. i will do that then. it's pretty hard to find a 5speed cherokee with 4wd around here for a cheap enough price. though i don't really think i will have the time or money to do this conversion right away. i will just fix 'er up and paint 'er and stuff until then.

can you get a different carrier or do you have to change the whole axle?

well like i said i am just gathering information right now. so all and any info is welcome. and advice. which would be the most preferred ratio? what all do you have to do if you change the ratio of the d44? eventually i plan on getting at least 33's. i don't need anything bigger really.

so w/o would probably be better then? well i just checked it again under 4wd w/ housing, is that correct? well i checked that earlier and those options above have changed. theres only a w/vacuum disconnect, 3.07 ratio up. they had all three of those listed before.

well the one i am working on getting is a 4.0 5speed. only 2wd so i need to get all this info gathered up on converting. so i know what to get. haven't seen to many cherokee's close by that are 4wd for a low enough price.

yeah that would be a good idea. they do that "feedback" on this prelude forum that my friend is a part of, when i saw it, i thought it was a pretty good idea. forgot about it until now.

ok. so you can use all the parts from the donor to convert it to a 4wd? is there anyone around close to me that has done this conversion before?

does the year of the xj matter for using the parts?
