on the drivers side that plastic cover keep falling off, part of the plastic clip on the right side of the light cover is broken, so i am trying to find a whole different pair of lights.
-
first one i hadn't seen before, second one was the original i was thinking about. thanks guys. i was in napa and schucks earlier today, they didn't have anything but these really big bulky ones. they had one style that i really like but they only came in red or amber, not interior lights.
-
which one of you guys put up those pictures of replacing the dome lights? anyone have any ideas for a good pair of dome lights. i need to replace mine, since they don't sit snug in their hole.

will the '95 camaro engines fit? i can pick one up in walla walla, washington for 600$ guy says it's got 125K miles on it and it's in good shape. or i can go to pendleton, oregon to pick up a '94 from a firebird for 500$ but he says it's basically overhaul.
-
stopped by the junk yard today they don't have any 3.4L from a camaro or firebird, nor the harness or computers. they do have a d44 for 350$ and that's all they had. i asked if they had any comanches, and they said they rarely see them anymore. stopped at napa for an inline fuel pump, just checking the pricing. they want 53$ for either a 1.5-4lb of pressure or a 4-7. which one would be the right choice?

gauge cluster question
tkgibbs27 replied to undercoverwalrus's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
not really about the gauge cluster, but the gauges. my oil pressure is pinned all the way to the right and my temp. gauge starts in the middle. my dad has checked it out a few times, he's done something for the oil pressure to go back to it's normal position, but something happens and it pins back to right after driving for about five minutes. any of you guys have an idea what's going on? i think my dad mentioned something about the computer, but he's already replaced that once before and said it might need to be replaced again. -
only carb i am running right now is the one on the engine already. i would like for the 3.4L to be a carb. maybe i will do the fuel injection now and later convert it. so i'll need the step-by-step on how to wire it.
-
so what is the deal with a carb. engine? what would i need and what would i not need to make it work? do i still need the wiring harness and computer? i need some info asap, i am heading out to the junk yard today. i am talking about the 3.4L.

can't really help, i haven't done the swap yet. i am waiting on a reply from the wrecking yard to see what it's going to cost for the engine, computer, and wiring harness. it might be about a month or two before i start on this project, depending on how much they want for it all. if not all the info is in by then, i can put in after i finish.

well thanks for the advice. ha i had actually considered buying parts here and there.

POWER... not really any more than are trucks have... Many where straight 6's! What they DO HAVE is WEIGHT and GEARING!!!! PLUS the driver has a bit more experience (Or smarts) than the Bronco driver. Anyone can tie on and mash the pedal... Get it moving and momentum is your friend. Not to mention it didn't appear he was in anywhere near as deep mud as the other two...  :D CW either way i am still stoked about it.

nice. thing has some power to be able to pull out two vehicles, haha i am pretty stoked about that.

400sbc in the jeep

that's a sheer beauty of an engine. -
i think i would pretty much have to agree. kids do need to learn, but their opportunities are being taken away. too many safety rules now. since i was a kid i have noticed that a lot of parents are raising their kids to be pussies. they can't experience anything on their own, cause the parents are so damn concerned about them getting a scratch, a little bruise or something. my dad always told me to quit being a kitty about it and take it like a man when ever i got hurt. i am only 19 and i have noticed a difference in how parents react. not saying everyone raises their kids this way or that it's wrong but how are the kids going to learn? it's a part of life, you gotta learn for yourself. ma and pa aren't always going to be there to hold you hand or to make you feel better.

Though I don't believe in the cause of this war. I have complete respect for the troops and thank them very much. I will be joining them within the next year.

Merry Christmas to everyone. Hope ya'll have a good one.

haha no i am debating on it right now, haven't made my mind up. cost plays a pretty important role in this since i don't have a steady job, i work on and off doing different jobs.

i have been considering selling the van and the mj and finding a new one, but you really don't see any mj's over here around washington and oregon. if you guys can help me find one here in about a month or two i will be able to get it.

the ring of death happened to one of my buddies 360s, so i took it off his hands. plugged it in, didn't work. so i took it apart checked everything out made sure nothing was fried, put it back together and it started working. next day it quite. took it apart again put some stuff on some chips to help reduce the heat, left the cover off of it, and it worked fine, every time i fired 'er up it would work without any problems. when i put the casing back on was when i started having problems again. my pa's a very skilled electronic tech. he's supposed to check it out but hasn't had the time to do it yet.

that's pretty damn sweet. if i ever get a chance to do that, i will.

if you wanted to change the steering column what do you have to consider? at work i came upon a magazine that had an advertisement for a steering column, and thought it would be nice to get a newer one, one that i can tilt if i want to.
-
that is pretty sweet. i now know what it looks like. on a trip to tacoma with my dad i was looking at one of those things in the family van and thought it might be a good idea to put one of those things in my truck, it'd give me some other room for other junk plus the lighting would be better, though i was thinking about getting one that had the temp, and if it was possible, get one that tells me mileage, how many miles per gallon i am getting, etc. like this: http://www.digi-go.biz/shc1aaa/DSC_0008.jpg
