  1. don't wanna be buying anything to make me sleep for the rest of my life.. Yeah, that's not how they work. Melatonin is the chemical your brain produces to get you to go to sleep. This is just a supplament of something your body already makes, not a knock-out drug. It does not prevent you from waking up in the morning...
  2. Renix ones have the three piece hose with the flex hose in the middle. In 91 they went to a one piece plastic hose.
  3. Melatonin Supplements work great for me.
  4. I've always been able to pull mine out with a 12 pt box wrench, using the two wrench trick to pop it loose, then a ratcheting wrench to work it out.
  5. Yup, and, personally, I hate the two spoke ones. A three spoke will directly replace it.
  6. I like it in white, too, but I think black would look better.
  7. Edit: added image
  8. If you've made up your mind, why ask us? They'll be more subtle in black.
  9. On, but spray it black first.
  10. Cab on the MJ is unibody, bed sits on a frame.
  11. Internal. This is definitely a bleeding issue. Internal slaves frequently need several bleeds to get it to work correctly, as you cannot compress the slave during bleeding, like an external.
  12. Step 1. Become sober. Step 2. Buy Giant van/Bus. Step 3. Become town's Designated Driver. Step 4. Carry around all the drunks you know. Step 5. After they're juiced up, stop at every gas station you see, and pretend you're filling it up. Step 6. Make them pay for it. Step 7. Profit.
  13. If you are referring to the "difference" between 3.54 and 3.55, or 4.10 and 4.11, that's not considered a different ratio. That's just the end result of differentials with different size ring gears. Dunno what you mean by the reference to two-wheel drives. Obviously, they don't have a front differential. He's being a smart @$$, by saying the front axle and rear axle on a 2wd have different gearing. The 3.54 and 3.55ness is pretty much negligible on our vehicles. The D35, D30, 8.25, and even 8.8, from what I've found, have identical tooth counts for each ratio. I believe the D44 shares most of them, with 4.09 being the exception.
  14. This looks oddly familiar... :hmm: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=17061&start=105 I often have urges to cut one up again.
  15. They're a 12 point 13mm head. Soak them with PB, a lot, and try a wire brush to clean up the heads. I don't think the bolt-out sockets will work very well, as those suckers are torqued down quite a bit.
  16. Firefox has an add-on that will automatically refresh a page at certain intervals, so you folks that need to do things other than check the login count every 15 seconds and yell it out in chat can stay active without staying at your computer. It's called ReloadEvery, and it turns your refresh button into a drop down menu.
  17. MPG difference in negligible, and no, it doesn't wear out your front end parts. The CAD was eliminated in the early 90s anyway, because it was more trouble than it was worth. Personally, I would rather lose a tiny, tiny bit of fuel economy for the peace of mind that the 4wd will actually work when I pull the lever. I have experienced "F*&$ing DAMNIT" that you feel when you pull the lever and nothing happens. Locking the CAD is free.
  18. Those are the exact same days we're gonna be in WI. :shake: :fs2:
  19. Lock the CAD and forget it.
  20. Little bit of duct tape, and JB weld, and you're good. They give you more than one cylinder for a reason, ya know.
  21. That's weird. I'd be interested to see the inside of that thing. The question is it stuck in reverse or only has reverse? If it's stuck in reverse then it could just be a syncro. If it only has reverse...I'd almost be willing to travel a little bit to just open that. :hmm: Reverse doesn't use synchros.
  22. Arizona doesn't either? Indiana doesn't, was just too lazy to look up who else didn't. As far as I'm concerned, they're much smarter than the rest of the country. Daylight Savings Time is dumb.
  23. He said it was a 4.0 with a 5 speed, so should be either a BA 10/5 or AX-15.
