  1. Since you have an entire donor, it's pretty simple. Just remove all the cooling stuff from the 88, and move the 92 stuff over.
  2. 4.0/auto or 2.5/auto? 4.0/auto should be 3.55 2.5/auto should be 4.10 Never assume, however. Check before you get it/install it.
  3. I wouldn't know about autozone, but O'reillys is pretty good about that stuff. They usually won't even do a deposit if you use it in the parking lot.
  4. Don't forget to check your fuel pressure.
  5. If you can afford it... since you're changing plugs anyway, do everything. Cap and rotor should be under $20, plugs should be about $12 for all 6, wires can be had for $15-16.
  6. 300 Ohms is .300 kOhms
  7. You only checked one? And I think I meant kOhm. :hmm:
  8. What is "within spec" on the spark plug wires to you? I don't consider them good unless they're under 1 ohm.
  9. Big problem in the dead of winter... :rotf:
  10. Isn't it amazing how most people forget how to drive in the snow over summer?
  11. Timing is not adjustable. I think you're making it too complicated. Check the dist cap, rotor, wires, and plugs.
  12. Yes it is. It's pretty common for the outer casing to break off like that.
  13. Those are very pretty. This is a knock sensor from a Renix Jeep.
  14. Looks nothing like a knock sensor. Knock sensors don't have a pigtail and have a plug that looks like an injector plug. Looks to me like a reverse light switch for the transmission.
  15. Grill generations are actuall 84-90 91-96 97-01 84-90 and 91-96 are similar, and interchangeable if you get the headlight bezels that go with it. They don't look any different from afar. The 97-01 ones are completely different.
  16. 4wd Checklist: 4wd Transmission. In your case, a 4wd BA 10/5 or 4wd AX-15, preferably AX-15 but you'll need an AX-15 crossmember if you don't already have one. Transfercase. T-case handle, linkages, brackets. Front axle. Rear axle to match front. Front Driveshaft. Shorter rear Driveshaft. You may need a longer speedo cable. You don't need to worry about the vacuum harness, just lock the CAD and forget it. That's about it unless you're converting to an external slave at the same time.
  17. 3.55 is a good step up from 3.07, even with stock tires. Also a good price for that axle. Pretty rare for anyone to include all the information you need when listing an axle. I would pick up the 3.55 Dana 30 and find a 3.55 rear (+speedo gear) to go with it, even if you're not upping tire size.
  18. I... don't know. Google is being less than stellar, and my 4.0 HO MJ is 70 miles away, I can't see it till Friday. I can say it's not in the relay box, which I'm sure you've already figured out. It's probably strapped to the body somewhere all by itself.
  19. That's true, but I have heard of some xj's having them. It could depend on the factory it was built at. It's just that the symptoms are just like mine were. I wish I had a pic. Wouldn't surprise me at all if it was standard on Canadian models. If I'm not mistaken, you guys also go the fancy turn signals in the front fenders just above the wheel.

    Snow report

Was it frozen? I'm not a meteorologist but I guess it's possible that it was at some point frozen before it hit the ground as rain. Well if you wanna get technical, I suppose it's safe to say that every molecule of water on this planet was frozen at some point.

    Snow report

My home town in WI got hit pretty nice, but so far the few specs I've seen down here in Misery have been less than satisfying. I did have to use 4wd in one town though, because they feel it's more necessary to plow the shoulders on the highway than the 4 lane both ways super busy intersection of two state highways next to the town square in front of the county courthouse/sheriff's department.
