I kept a 2 1/4 ton jack in my XJ for awhile, because that bottle jack is utterly useless

I was just going to make mine if I went that route.

at 30 I'm usually in 4th, unless I'm accelerating First thing I did when I bought the truck was pulled the dash and ripped out that stupid light. Did the same thing with my 88 XJ. I was getting tired of it going off in Reverse and telling me to go into a 6th gear I didn't have.

Are there any 1.5 volt power sources I could tap into? I have an Mp3 player that runs on 1 AAA battery, and i'm sick of going through batteries, and it never leaves the truck. There's no AC jack or anything, so I'd have to mock up something to immitate a battery, which is no problem. Just need something to tap into.

I don't believe that's a D35, cover isn't round enough, there's a small hump on the top. Chyrcho 8.25 I believe?

It did it again today. So it must be electrical, so I stopped at Carquest on my way to work and got some dialectrical grease. I thought it could be the gear, because if I turned enough at enough speed it might have made the gear move enough to catch the worm gear in the trans. But what I don't get...whether it's electrical or a bad gear...all three times it's come back, it was in the Exact same spot in the exact same curve on the exact same road. I don't get it. Chances are my converted Ax-4 will be going in next weekend so I'll look at the speedo gears then and throw whatever one is in better condition in.

Am I the only guy out there with a 2.5/ax-4/3.55 that's had her above 90, and with no complaints about 75-80?

The first time it happened was about two months ago...but it fixed itself, so I ignored it. But it happened again today so I figured I'd ask. I'd start driving...and all my gauges work, excpet the speedo. The first time it happened, I tried smacking the top of the dash..nothing. So I pulled over, crawled under the truck to make sure the wiring was still connected, and it was. Started back up and driving, still nothing. So I decided to ignore it and use the tach for my speed. About 4 miles later it started working, while I was driving. Exact same thing happened today except I didnt bother stopping. Speedo kicked back in about 4 miles later. My guess....bad tooth on the speedo gear?

Definitly photochopped, but a very nice job It wouldn't look too bad...but that's with a topper. I don't think it'd look as good without a cap. Personally, I like the look that came on them

The first one I ever used was a home built one, long @$$ non-folding legs, and the boom didn't even go down far enough to set the motor I just pulled on the ground. Had to set it on a tire.
