I've seen those actually and they're just not what I want Sinkrun, but thanks for the thought :). Airspeed, you are correct about stud length. However if I could find these ones I want twice as long, that's what I'd get. I remember seeing very similar nuts on my Dad's vehicles growing up, and that style is just what I like.

Like this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-Cherokee-97-01-Chrome-Headlight-Trim-Bezel-Right-/350614188607 , except mine's from a '95.

I just bought a set of aluminum wheels, very nice, but the lug holes are slightly elongated (adjustable), so I want to know what angle of lug nuts would be best to use to cause the least damage possible, since the holes are straight through, no inherent angle.

When stripping down an old aluminum wheel to sand/polish, will regular old paintstripper take off all clearcoat without hurting the metal? Also, when finishing, most people like to use clearcoat so I've read. Can you just wax it instead? Or is that a bad idea because wheels are so close to the ground and get dirty so easily you'd be re-waxing once a week? Or can you clearcoat and then wax?

I got a chrome trim set about a week ago. I noticed that on the driver's side light bracket there were a few rusty pinholes shining through the nice chrome. Can this be repaired or is it condemned to the trash heap?

Beautiful! But agree with H3RESQ. I couldn't stand IFS, and I was thinking more along the lines of a 3.3bt. Anyway, I finally got ahold of the guy, but apparently this guy is selling for his son-in-law, who's out of state. Long story short I haven't been able to look at it yet :(

This is exactly my style http://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/Lug-Nut.aspx?t_c=11&t_s=107&t_pt=3679&t_pn=croj4006956 . I HATE flat headed lug nuts. The problem is, 3 clams per nut is absolutely absurd!! I can't find them any cheaper either. Anyone know where to get this style for cheaper?

There's a Willy's Wagon here where I live for 500 bucks that supposedly ran when it was parked. Body looks good and it has a PTO winch. I'm going to go take a look asap and will update this post with what I find if anyone is interested.

I do a paper route here in Alaska and just kept my eyes out, there are 4 within a couple square miles. Three red ones and one originally white one with blue repair parts I'm assuming.

I would dig a pit in my front yard, put the MJ in, seal it watertight, cover it back up, and when I could get to it I'd dig it up again. Or I'd build super heavy duty scaffolding over another vehicle in my yard and put this MJ on top till I could get to it later. With a will there's a way!!!!!!

Cool, I'll look up your thread, thanks.

Good enough answer for me! Thanks guys.

Just got a '92 NP242J out of a '92 4.0 HO, automatic. What I want to put it into: 1990 4.0 AX15. Will I have to switch out the shaft? I believe it's a 23 spline, I'm just not sure about the length.

So you don't clearcoat? Just wax?
-
PS, those chrome mirrors and chrome handles are heavy! Like actually made out of metal lol.
-
That's what I figured. Anyone know how to restore and protect the chrome trim pieces?
-
Right on, that's good business. At first I was like "what?! NO!", and then I read you bought another better one. Check out izook.com. It's the CC of Samurai.

Got a '92 NP242J and accompanying front driveshaft, 4.0 radiator, chrome grill and chrome light-brackets or whatever they're called, chrome mirrors, a pair of chrome door handles, assorted engine hoses, and an HO throttle body, all for 140 bones! Great deal or what?
