  2. Make sure the light switch icon in the upper left of the tool bar is not clicked on.
  3. Generally the paint instructions will have the required tip sizes. Most of the paints I intended to use required a 1.4mm tip size. I ended up purchasing a Graco-Sharpe Fenex line spray gun for spray primer and color coats. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0019CSVA4/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_26725410_item
  4. I only have the painted terminals because Kelly was out of stock on terminals so I ordered a different set through Amazon. The wire loom is Buchanan 3/8" from Home Depot. Just barely fits the alternator cable plus field wires, but is otherwise perfect for the rest of the cables.
  5. Hella Vision Plus H4 Headlights - A huge improvement over stock even without a wiring harness upgrade. Fixed Vacuum Ball - HVAC vents finally work and cruise control works. Marine Style Battery Terminals - This is part of Kelly's WIP 4 gauge wire upgrade. This solved the hard starting issue as my power harness was thoroughly destroyed by corrosion along with battered terminals. Trimmed the cover at the PDC to fit the new cables. 150 AMP fuse for the alternator. I can run a 136 AMP alternator safely now. The flexible 4 gauge welding wire was wrapped in wire loom for heat and abrasion resistance. The alternator field generator wires were removed from the original harness and incorporated into the new harness.

  8. Thanks everyone! I am apologizing for making our MJOTM editor Ben(Neohic) have to bug me last month about missing the December dead line while I was trying to fix the MJ to get more finished pictures.(Which I still failed to do. >_>) Think I might set those seats on fire and use the fabric I bought to make some nice cooking aprons. Sometimes my DIY is nice new shiny parts. *Grumbles and wanders back out to the garage.*
  9. The NP242 behind the AW4 automatic in a 1991+ XJ and ZJ will be medium input. You will need to harvest a short input gear from another transfer to use it on an AX15. Be aware of the gear cut change in 1993/1994.(Which always makes me recommend grabbing a 1994/1995 transfer case to start with.) http://www.novak-adapt.com/knowledge/np_nvg_input_gears.htm Yokes will match; swapping to a NP242 is nearly a drop in replacement besides adjusting shift lever and 4WD indicator switch. I swapped a NP242 in place of my NP231 in my 2004 Wrangler.
  10. I have seen white foam gasket of some sort that goes there. Mine did not have one when I installed it. On pictures I have seen it in it looked more for insulation purposes than sealing.
  11. Do it myself. The old seat covers will serve as the pattern.
  12. This will look better with some piping like the stock seats.
  13. I am putting the Hella ECE kit in my MJ. I have the round version in my Wrangler and the light is amazing. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001G72VIK/ref=oh_details_o04_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  14. The old trim, even if a day old, gets torn up when removing it. It has to be replaced regardless. I must have screwed up some where, I removed, cleaned, painted and reinstalled my windshield trim. Looks like new. I figured that would happen to mine too so I brought it to their shop so they could replace them. :brows: We are talking about rubber trim here that gets torn and adhered to the adhesive. >_> I was standing in line at Jo-Ann Fabrics wondering why my phone was beeping a bunch.

  16. It is a jet engine and they use it for drying the track with the jet exhaust pointed towards the ground. That Comanche has shown up on here before.
  17. They supplied the moulding. I simply lied a little by specifying it was a 1997 Jeep Cherokee when I made the appointment so that I would get moulding instead. The little windshield trim nubs do not interfere as long as the windshield is installed centered.(Like it should be anyway.)
  18. Damn, I should have poked you to come see your Walker in person while I was there!
  19. I spotted a newly painted looking bright orange Comanche in Greencastle, PA at the I-81 exit. Is that anyone on here? I am fairly sure it is not RockMJ's old one, but it was incredibly similar.
  20. The RE9900 drop brackets fit fine. The RE9905 bracket braces technically do not fit, but can be made to fit. An extra hole needs to be drilled for the forward cross member bolt position and some minor trimming around the Comanche's extra LCA bracing may be required. I have held it up to my Comanche's frame and noted those minor differences they would prevent it from fitting. I have not yet done those modifications to install them or completely test fit them.
  21. The 1997 block I disassembled with 220,000 miles for my stroker still had hash marks in the cylinders and the journal bearings could have been left alone if someone was struggling for money. http://imgur.com/a/e8vip#0 The engine in my 2004 Wrangler has been knocking for over 17,000 miles and just hit 157,300 miles.
  22. Follow what Rymanrph posted. Sorry I can't respond to your text message. I am in the mountains at my parents and was surprised I briefly had a message come through before losing signal again. Yep, my tops are running/brake lights, middle is turn signal, and bottom is reverse. I made my own custom harness reusing a short section of some wires in the original grommet that goes through the floor. No worrying about the original colors or such, but instead making sure the colors all matched up in the new harness. Most of those pictures are on this page: http://www.nonamestudios.com/gallery/album/12-jeep-comanche/?st=250

    Dash Cams

Here is a good resource on them: http://dashcamtalk.com/dash-cam-comparison/ If you want to see tons of crazy dash cam videos from Russia: http://www.reddit.com/r/Roadcam/ I am planning on grabbing a G1W model when I get around to ordering one.
  24. Both are brand new. Replacing the pads and rotors fixed the issue.
  25. New wheel hubs installed when I had it regeared. The brake dust shields were left off due to be rusty. Centric Premium Rotors and Posi-Quiet Pads - What was on there were nearly new, but hard braking induced a very hard pull to the left that I could not solve. WJ Lower Control Arms - Returned 100% of the steering radius with these. They are installed in the correct orientation.
