How long do you thing on the the new ones? I doing a total restoration on a 91 Comanche and won’t be done and needing the bezel until beginning of march. Other wise I’ll take the used ones. Just let me know how to pay you.

      Thank you, Ernie

Sounds good I’ll take 2 sets if you can get them made. I always like to have spares just in case.

  2. Just figured I’d give an update in case anybody was wondering. I understand that I’m not the only one that has had to go through this, and I unfortunately won’t be the last either. My mom had breast cancer roughly 4 years, she passed away December 1, 2024. Then I lost my job December 20, 2024. My father passed away in 1994. I have a brother that lives in Colorado, but I’m the only family member that lived in close proximity to my mom. Now I am dealing with her estate, and have some decisions that I need to make. Some are easy, and some are going to be difficult. I guess the main reason, or the potential main reason I’m posting here will be I may be selling off some or all of what I have as far as Comanches go, or Jeep in general. I still haven’t made any final decisions, and I have to wait to find to see what kind of job I’m going to get. If I find something good, I may be able to swing it that I keep both houses. That would allow me to have my house as my work area, and my mom‘s house as a living area. I’m really not interested in renting any kind of shop. If I do sell, I’ll make sure to post here if that’s all right with Pete. I do have a lot of stuff and will be dreading having to go through everything, hopefully everybody here is doing well.
  3. I’m out. My mom isn’t doing well and I just found out today that I’m losing my job. Thanks for letting me know though.
  4. What section are you referring to? I installed one of his prototypes and I don’t recall there being any real differences between the two.
  5. Yeah the ignition switch might be bad inside not allowing everything to move freely. You should be able to check it before you purchase another switch that we don’t have to spend extra money for nothing
  6. All right I guess I’ll throw the Mishi Moto at it. Have to wait for the stupid overflow nipple That they say is included but it’s not. I will update with the results. Thanks everyone
  7. I have the Mopar fan, just a plain Jane GMB water pump, the Mopar clutch fan. I’m aware of the high flow water pumps, but I do have the new comer thermostat housing. What are the issues with that? I don’t care if I have to change something else
  8. I should add that I do have a MishiMoto radiator, but after reading those reviews I’m not even sure I want to put it in.
  9. What’s a good upgraded radiator? I just recently got done installing my 4.6 stroker in my essentially 95 swapped Comanche. Everything was new including the radiator when I installed it a few weeks ago. It has been running hot and I have gone through the timing an air to fuel ratio and they are both good. Also changed fan clutch and that didn’t help either . I’m looking for a radiator that I can put in once and not have to deal with again. I have read through a lot of reviews on a lot of radiators and can’t seem to find one that has nearly all positive reviews, most of them only lasts either a couple months or a couple years. I’ve had good luck with the spectra and Murray radiators for my stock applications, but it’s not doing the job on this truck . Anybody have any advice?
  10. I believe the dowel pins started in 96 , which would explain why your 92 doesn’t have them . I haven’t come across any other reason except for better alignment. I’m sure you know cutting a couple old head bolts and sliding the head over them will net the same result. Depending on the head that you are using , you may want to consider using a different year head gasket that won’t have the dowel holes in it . I believe that when the 4.0 started using the ignition coil rail 99/00 Is when the 4.0 stopped using the cam thrust pin . I believe they swapped to the 2 retaining bolts as it better prevented the cam from walking better than the spring pin did . The later timing cover doesn’t have a place for the cam bolt spring pin to push against just as an FYI . You would need to use an older cover . If you decide to use a double roller timing chain sometimes you need to clearance the new timing cover inside to prevent the chain/cover from rubbing/grinding .
  11. My condolences to his family and friends .
  12. I don’t have pictures currently, but I have noticed on some of the wheels that there is a recess where the lug nut seats on some wheels but not on others . I always chalked it up to the ones with the recess are for the rear and the ones that weren’t were for the front due to the rear studs being shorter .
