WOW, very disturbing for sure. I do agree with the old guy reporter, it just makes no sense, since they had fired off so many rounds without a problem that same day, but as soon as 2 shells fly and the 3rd get jammed in a single trigger pull, off in handcuffs, and more than likely a prison sentence?? Talk about overkill by the good ol' government yet again. :headpop:

Everyone knows that there is always two sides to every story. It might be interesting to see what the Government's side is, but we're not likely to hear it. Having done cases involving fully automatic weapons I can guarantee you that the gun itself has to be what a conviction is based on; not a second-hand account of a one-time range malfunction. The multi-shot burst has to be repeatable on demand- period.

As we read this the beurocrats in D.C. are gathered today to discuss a handgun ban the D.C. BE WORRIED!! If you vote for a democratic president your gun rights will be under attack!! Canada has already banned handguns, don't let this happen to the great United States of America.

First off the guy with the AR-15 has a great gun. They do however get hot at times (some of the cheaper guns) and fire multiple rounds. And firing 800 rounds sounds like a perfect way to get it hot to me. Not saying thats what happened but it has happened to me with 9mm before made by of all people Smith and Wesson. Anything could have happened i guess.

Where did the ATF and all the other officials get the info that they needed a swat style entry to the home ? What did he do to give them the indication he was going to put up a fight ? Normally unless there are drugs or heavy weapons charges they send a sheriff and a dog leash after you...

As far as gun rights. As long as you play nice and fly under the radar they won't bother you... after all i sold all my guns at the flea market last week :D

Yeah BS. But they knew of all the guns he had registered so they have to go in like that. Which is reasonable but to even investigate him on the misfire is bull$#!&. But you know it's because of the whole terrorists crap.

And because I said terrorists the FBI will scan this post. like I said Bin Laden or something. Just Gov control going overboard.

it'll be a sad day in America when the American people get their facts from the government.

I can't figure out why people would rather see this country fall apart rather than picking it back up and putting America back on her feet and the people taking control again.

"Any society that would give up a little liberty to gain a little security will deserve neither and lose both." - BF

the NRA aren't true supporters of the 2nd Amendment in the first place. GOA is a true supporter, and they support Ron Paul, because he's the only one who is working to protect our rights, the Constitution and isn't anti gun control like obama, hillary and mccain.

when people un-glue themselves from the tubes or at least start caring about our nations future, along with our freedoms and liberties and our own lives.

i mean there are plenty of conspiracies out there, but there are plenty of facts about these people who we let run our country, and we just sit back and let them destroy our country and then we wonder, why gas prices are sky rocketing, why the price of products goes up but wages stay the same, why we are heading towards a depression right now with our economy going down hill. why our phones are being tapped and why our emails aren't even private anymore. there are plenty of more concerns, like health care, and education. we depend on other countries for our products now. we are forced to pay unlawful taxes, like the income tax. we are being rapped and robbed of our own hard earned cash that is spent to pay ridiculous taxes, and to provide illegals with welfare and social security. wtf? it just goes on and on. and no body ever questions this kind of stuff? we go to war unconstitutionally without a deceleration of war. the patriot act is signed and nobody questions that, it's by far one of the biggest threats to our liberties and civil rights than anything else. and now we are facing all these socialistic ideals, and everyone is fine with it? what happened the American Republicanism? why doesn't anyone ever question these neo-con criminals or do background checks on who we are voting into office? like gwb, and now hillary, mccain, and obama? does anyone know what the CFR really is? or what the UN really stands for? has no one paid attention to the gb sr. saying there is a NEW WORLD ORDER AGENDA? come on people. i can't believe anyone would ever sit back and watch their country, freedom, and liberties being stripped from underneath them. it's like having someone come into your house steal your kids and wife and you just sit back and do nothing.

the question to me is, what happened to the American people i was told about, those who stand up and fight for our country. not to benefit halliburton or standard oil, or to fight for some corporate agenda, but to insure our freedoms and liberties were kept alive and that we stuck by the Constitution. where did the land of the free and the home of the brave go? don't tread on me? real American patriots? i can tell you, people just stopped caring, people stopped wanting the facts. the media became corrupt and is used for manipulation and brainwashing today.

people talk about how great we are, but little do they realize, we aren't so great anymore. our founding fathers would be very disappointed in us.

TK, seriously I want you to check back on this post either in a couple hours or tomorrow. I do agree with you on some of the points that you make but I'd like to give you a perspective on how the world works. Please don't take offense to what I tell you, it's just a differnt opinion and viewpoint from the other side of the country and planet. I don't have the time to write it out right now because I have to close up my shop, put my two kids to bed, walk my Golden Retriever, and hopefully get a little nookie from the wife. But like Arnold said, "I'll be back." :D

i am open to different opinions and viewpoints. so i will check back later tonight or tomorrow.

that's the kind of stuff i am concerned about, Americans being able to live their lives, without being told what to do, and not having to worry about not making enough to shelter and feed their families and pay their bills, and to just simply live our lives. and keeping the government out of lives, they don't belong there in the first place.

Ummm ... no, they don't. Unfortunately, those places that have SWAT teams are getting in the habit of using the SWAT teams for all warrants. There was a case last year of an accountant, who had no prior record and no indications of violence, who was under suspicion of some fairly minor offense. They sent a SWAT team after him and killed him in his front yard. He was unarmed and had offered no resistence.

The BATFE is an agency out of control. Don't get me started.

Sorry, but if I were going after a guy with at least one known machine gun, I would at least want a SWAT team to go in first.

I have had one of these gun wackos pull a gun on me before for no reason and I didn't care for it. Most of them don't care if they kill you anyway.

Good points. I guess things are a little different here. They don't get very excited about stuff unless they need your land and can get it in a bail/bond deal or they need you to give some info about someone else.

Around here they couldn't set up a successful road block though.

Thats some bull$^ that they killed a man for nothing. They probably didn't have a word said to them for it either.

TK, you brought up alot of good points, but I would just like to clarify something here...

The point in focus is our involvement in the Global war on Terror as an "unconstitutional war where war was not declared"

The United States has deployed its military forces abroad to protect its interanational interests and the safety of the nation without a formal declaration of war ever since it was formally recognized as an independent nation by the British in 1783. The First Barbary War (1801-1805) is an early example of U.S. forces deployed to fight not a nation but a group (in this case Islamic pirates) without a formal declaration of war made by congress.

As it relates to our current state of affairs, in all reality a declaration of war has been made and it has been made many times. Not by the U.S., but by our enemies, numerous communities of Islamic jihadists, a declaration of war on us until we are wiped off the planet.

Just a couple of points to ponder. :USAflag:

Yes I know most of that. Formally in the United States there is no format required for declarations of war. since the Constitution just states, "Congress shall have the power to ... declare War, ..." without defining the form such declarations will take place. So some argue one way while the others in the complete opposite direction. And most wars have occurred only upon prior request by the President. We have had declared against foreign nations in the past though. Most of the time the President had come to Congress with the request. But like you said, they haven't been formally declared by Congress.

There is no war on terrorism, I will not believe it because of the interests and people involved and their personal history/background in politics. Islamic Jihadists would run away with their tails in between their legs, just like everyone else in the world, they wouldn't mess with us, if we brought all of our troops home to our boarders to protect our nation. Then we don't have to worry about these attacks. Everyones pissed off because we go and occupy their countries with our military. We are just policing the world. If we were to mind our own business we wouldn't be in these situations or having to be worrying about this crap. It's all about our foreign policy, it has to be changed.

Not sure what you mean by "there is no War on Terrorism." The War on Terror is very real. You may not like the name or whatever but the fact is that these jihadists mean business. They will take the fight to us on our turf if given the opportunity. They do not care about being left alone, their whole mindset is based on annihilating their enemies and they will stop at nothing to achieve this ... they look at this fight in terms of decades and centuries... it is up to us to cut that short.

Wow. Who'da thunk it? A guy gets in trouble for loaning an illegally modified assault rifle, (as he should) and within a couple pages the Comanche Club debates world politics. Sorry. Maybe machine guns are evil? One sure lit up this group. As long as I'm typing as opposed to my normal lurking I have to comment further:

There was a case last year of an accountant, who had no prior record and no indications of violence, who was under suspicion of some fairly minor offense. They sent a SWAT team after him and killed him in his front yard.

Same scenario, Santa Clarita California a couple years ago- Only they didn't send the swat team at this search warrant. My friend Jake Kuredjian got the top of his head blown off by a book keeper with no indication that there would be trouble. The guy just calmly decided that he wasn't going to prison and went to the second story window with a scoped rifle. Jake was crouched behind his patrol car, probably wondering how long the contact team was going to politely keep asking the guy to open the front door. :dunno:

Guys- Do yourselves a favor: Try not to believe much of what you see on the news and be real careful when it comes to forming opinions of world events if you are basing these opinions on anything other than direct personal knowledge. The news is a business, not a social service that answers to a higher authority. Truth and reporting accuracy mean very little compared to selling The Product.

Once you have seen yourself on TV and listened to how wacked the narrative comes across you will never look at the news the same.
