jtdesigns Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I saw a Comanche in a parking lot near me. I stopped by and left a C.C. card on the window and I noticed a "X" emblem under the "Comanche" emblem.. Is that a certain model?? By the way Pete if you see this I'm running out of business cards.. Think you could send me some with the hat??
BLHTAZ Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 I'm betting that it is just something someone stuck on there. Probably got one made for a "Wrangler X".
jtdesigns Posted January 27, 2008 Author Posted January 27, 2008 I'm betting that it is just something someone stuck on there. Probably got one made for a "Wrangler X". It looked factory,, I mean the truck wasn't in the best of shape.. It looked like it was used for work only,, The "X" was a package in 86 You know what all that package included?
tkgibbs27 Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 * 1987-1992 - Base * 1987-1990 - Chief * 1987-1990 - Laredo * 1987-1992 - SporTruck * 1988-1992 - Eliminator * 1988-1990 - Pioneer * 1986-1986 - Custom * 1986-1986 - X * 1986-1986 - XLS EDIT: The base Comanche was the Custom model, plus there was what Jeep called the "Low Series" X model. The primo Comanche was XLS. The ironically named Custom was cheap, designed for the two-by buyer and had little or no bright exterior trim. The X was a slight step up from that, with bright accents appearing primarily in the molding. The XLS and X had an optional Sport Dcor Group (black grille and bumper).
BLHTAZ Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 8) Cool... I love learning new stuff.

89eliminator Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 anyone seen any mjs similar to this?[/img] what does it say?
WahooSteeler Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 did unser run a comanche on one of his pikes peak climbs??
WahooSteeler Posted February 3, 2008 Posted February 3, 2008 Al Jr. did stadium racing in a Manche it appears. Cool! Ironic that Al Jr. became an alcoholic and drove a Strohs truck. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Notice Al Jr.'s name on the roof.
89eliminator Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 a guy tried telling me the other day that someone around here has the Stroh Comanche in his barn, whether that is true or not is beyond me.
WahooSteeler Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 oh i'm sure it's true. probably has a little rust and runs decent, just needs a little TLC. And I'm sure for any of us to buy it, it would be $5k or more, but if you can prove you are a full time resident of Wisconsin you can drive it away for $2.39 :brows:
JeepcoMJ Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 a guy tried telling me the other day that someone around here has the Stroh Comanche in his barn, whether that is true or not is beyond me. you may have found a comanche before me? i FAIL!!!! :P you should figure it out...see if there actually is one. I'd like one.

I'd like one. maybe...but the dude didn't know where it was, he just heard it from a friend. i was filling up one day, and he saw me and told me about it cause i had a manche. and wahoosteeler, even when i buy it for $2.39, i would still sell it to you for only $2000. thats a good deal.
WahooSteeler Posted February 4, 2008 Posted February 4, 2008 ha! ha! yes it would be, yes it would................ now if it's the stadium truck, i'd pay a little more; the road course truck, maybe a little less, although it would be easy to turn it in to a pre-runner
