Ricky8227
Best way to lower the rear a couple inches? Remove a leaf? If so which is the best one to remove? The front is lifted about 6 inches and the rear looks to be like 8.
Salvagedcircuit
Change the rear leaf shackle to the one from an XJ. I believe that's the easiest way. It's like $35 for a set from moog and they lower your rear a little bit.
Eagle_SX4
Start by getting some shorter shackles. Those appear to be longer than factory. The factory ones are 4 3/8 eye to eye. Not sure what springs those are but the Comanche never came with 6 leafs. Pulling a leaf would lower it.
89 MJ
Well, I was going to say that you should swap to an XJ shackle and pull a leaf, but they beat me to it. I agree, you’ve definitely got some sort of custom leaf pack.
ghetdjc320
I’d pull the bottom two leaves and some regular MJ shackles. Bet that will get you close
Pete M
too many leafs. can you snap a photo of the underside showing the tips of all the leafs?
Ricky8227
Thanks guys I appreciate it. I was reading on other forms and people said that the xj shackles messed with the pinion angle and caused vibes? Would it just be better to remove bottom 2 leafs and get mj shackles or maybe get a set of adjustable shackles and leave the leafs in?
Ricky8227
Here’s a pic of the leaves from the bottom
fiatslug87
Yeah, those are not MJ leaves, MJ leaves do not have those angled ends.
Pete M
any change to the operating angle of the driveshaft ujoints can cause vibes. if they are old, I'd replace them too.

It's really hard to say with out knowing how your truck is set up. It could be that the pinion angle is already not correct and maybe an XJ shackle would correct it. I'd steer clear of adjustable shackles. To me, they seem flimsy would have a lot of side to side deflection.
ghetdjc320
Looks like a custom pack. No overload springs and all the leaves are about the same thickness. Good spring recipe
