every liner that fits an MJ is kinda rare at this point.   

 

I love mine, but it is definitely a personal decision.  best part is the over-the-rail bits that protect the bed from my clumsiness.

I had a nice Comanche specific Pendaliner bed liner.  I didn't like how slippery it was and that I had no access to the tie down points in the corners of the bed.  I loved how hard it was and how well it protected the bed sheet metal.

 

I ended up getting the bed Linex lined, and love it.  Protects the rails and is grippier.  Looks amazing.

 

I tried to find someone that wanted the liner for their Comanche but was unsuccessful.  Ultimately I sold it to someone that wanted to used it as the floor of their lawnmower shed.

It did hurt, but I'm glad it didn't end up in a landfill at least.  I'm happy when people can recycle.  I listed it here for free for months and eventually on Facebook marketplace.

I had a similar situation with mine. Eventually got cut up and thrown away. It wasn't a factory or dealer installed one, it as All Star brand, but still was an MJ one.

Shame! I was looking into one until I found out it won’t be compatible with the factory roll bar I’m picking up Friday

This was also 5 or 6 years ago before it was cool to restore these trucks. Or just as these trucks were getting recognition. The roll bar is definitely worth it.

Thats fair, yeah I am absolutely pumped I found a SWB sport bar 4 hours from me. Paying $500 which sounds about like the going rate?

I’d say that is on the lower end of average. By my guess, I’d say the 500-800 range is probably average, depending on condition and location.

Even if it needs some work, it’s not like it would be easy to find another.

That’s 100% true. Took some convincing to get the guy to sell, as he wanted to sell it with the Comanche he has for sale but I sweet talked him.

Make sure you get the brackets with them. They are under the bed and bolt to the frame. I bought a whole truck to get my roll bar.

Dusting this topic back off. Picked up a long bed bed liner yesterday. Wasn't really looking for one, but knowing how hard they are to come by, went and ahead and got it. Cleaned it and the bed up and set it in for now (tires are holding it down).

 

Thoughts so far:

1. It's ok... The black bed liner looks pretty good in the white bed. It does look quite period correct...
2. I don't like how much volume is lost in the space behind the bed rails and in the tail gate. Where are we going to pour the Cheetos when we are out with the Comanche at lunch time (see the photo below)? 
3. The condition is good. There is one vertical crack on the driver's side. But... There are holes cut in each corner to access the tie-downs. I can appreciate that, but the hole left behind the bed liner is gaping and I'm concerned about what will get in there. The Comanche this came off of had rails on the bed rails. It took me until I got home and was scrubbing it that bed rail caps had been cut. Not sure what to do about that (keep reading)...

The bed liner was held into the prior Comanche with a number of self-tapping screws around the bed rail and on the tailgate. I'm probably ok with installing a few self tapers in the bed rail and less excited about drilling them into the tailgate (not that the tailgate is anything to write home about). As I think about this, I'm inclined to run a bead of a sealant or adhesive around the top lip (that's all that remains) to keep debris and water from going between the bed liner and the bed. I'd like it to be removable in the event that I change my mind about the bed liner. Thinking silicone... I'll appreciate any thoughts on the subject.

To fit the rails on this bed. This is the Comanche the bed liner came from.
